I loved this hiking loop. The view was great, the terrain was medium. People I met were very friendly. We saw a ton of wildlife.
We kept going left when we should have gone straight, so it took a little longer than expected. It's still a great hike and so neat to be so close to the mountains. There was a great view that was well worth the trek.
A fantastic gem to check out for a pleasant hike. This trail is less popular than the nearby State Park, and mainly used by the locals, which makes it ideal for a calm outing. There is a fair bit of climb and descend, so be prepared for it. The trail itself is well maintained, yet in a natural state, so no paved paths here. No dogs or mountain biking.
Beautiful nature hike 😍 wonderful views! Steep enough to get the heart pumping but only moderately. Easy access, free parking, obvious trails, a few time/lengths options to choose from.

Finger Rock Trailhead
A very nice but steep rocky trail. Beautiful views of the mountains, plants, saguaros and the city. This is way nicer than the Sabino Canyon, but harder. I highly recommend this trail, but make sure to wear comfy shoes.

Camino de Oeste Trailhead
Beautiful, quiet, relaxing and long. Bring plenty water, sunblock, hat and good walking shoes. Not an ankle breaker trail but best to be prepared with good shows. No dogs allowed. Plenty of wild life inside!

Ventana Canyon Trailhead
Contracted workers were completing trail improvements, so it was in great condition all the way to The Window! The first 2-3 miles was fairly easy, but gets more difficult as you climb.

Excellent little trailhead that connects to a ton of different, beautiful, enjoyable trails. Be a good steward and make sure you take care of the trail, as it is the National Park.

St. Hubert’s Hatchet House - Axe Throwing Tucson
Had a wonderful time with friends! The staff were friendly and helpful with instruction and staying engaged with our group. Facility was clean and organized. Having the option of throwing axes or throwing stars was neat! Will definitely come back.
