The Speakeasy is in the back by the parking lot and you should have a reservation/know the password to get in. The service is very slow and the staff forgot a drink and the water for our group of 6. Food is pretty good, nothing amazing, and it has classic tiki bar decorations. A cute Speakeasy for Chula Vista but there are better ones downtown.
I was planning a lunch date with my friend to talk about theatre. We decided to try Lime in the Coconut. The atmosphere is fun and very clean. And the food menu looks quite delicious. I tried their Banh Mi pork belly sandwich, and their fun, flaming cocktail 🍹, Lime in the Coconut. Sandwich was flavorful, but their cocktail was quite fun and delicious!!! I definitely recommend for lunch or at their Speak Easy!
Great food…but expect a different twist on things. Not your normal flavors but in a good way! Flavors like wasabi in potato salad just sound like crazy mixes but definitely tasted amazing. Strong drinks too! Will definitely go back to keep exploring the menu.
Got to experience the speakeasy tonight and it was great! Riley was super chill and the drinks were on point. We had the pork belly bao buns and will definitely be coming back. Make sure you get a reservation on Fridays or Saturdays!
Went here for their Christmas pop-up and had to wait a little bit to get seated downstairs. We sat upstairs and had some French fries with a side of gravy, and they were hot and delicious. We had a drink up there also. The drinks in the pop-up bar were very good, and they were in fun cups. The servers and bartenders were all wonderful.
So excited this place finally opened up, and boy did it become one of our favorites right away. We tried it for the first time and went with the Poke Nachos and the pork belly Banh Mi sandwich. Both were absolutely amazing. The fish was so fresh. The drinks we ordered we’re perfectly balance with alcohol. Don’t recommend the Scorpio if you are a lightweight. They did a great job with the decor of the place. Staff was ultimately friendly and inviting. Can’t wait to go back and try out other menu items.
The atmosphere was chill and the servers were very attentive. The food was delicious. I'd definitely come back. Garlic rice ans ahi poke was so good I didn't leave anything behind. Fiancé had the fish and chips and he said it was very flaky, in a good way. The Bao flight was super delicious. We had the pork and chicken.
Drinks were yum.
I’m very familiar with Islander food and I’ve had my fair share, so I’ll try not to be too biased writing this review. Let’s start with the perks. It’s nice to see another business open in downtown Chula Vista. We really need more diverse places to eat in our South Bay community. I really like the concept of Lime in the Coconut and the decor was welcoming, inviting, and nicely decorated. We sat in a booth and felt far enough away from other guests (which I prefer these days with COVID and such). Frances our server was friendly and attentive. The cocktail drinks were fabulous and stole the show. Now for the food. Overall, it was ok. I think too much thought went into the fried musubi balls (the spam was minced and mixed in with the rice). I would’ve preferred chunks of spam. Unfortunately, they didn’t hold a light to Homestyle Hawaiian’s fried musubis (ouch, sorry). The smoked chicken was good. However, the garlic fried rice was so overdone that the rice grains were hard and difficult to chew. The wasabi in the potato salad was difficult to distinguish. The poke to wonton ratio was off on the nachos; the poke itself was good. The question I always ask myself is, would I return to this establishment? Although I’m glad we tried it I probably will not return. However, I would say it’s worthy to try at least once.

Beautiful park. Lots of areas to sit and enjoy the view. Parking will be difficult on weekends because of the construction going on at the park. Unfortunately; it won't be done until Summer 2025. So be patient and enjoy the park. Well- maintained, c
