Last minute thing, my room was nice & clean only thing is I couldn’t fit my foldable crib and only 1 light which is a lamp for whole room. Doesn’t light up kitchen area at all so I had to open bathroom door and use that light
I stayed there a few years ago and the place was not so good. I don't know if they have changed management since then but my stay this time was much better. The furnishings were older but they served their purpose. The room was clean including the bathroom ( my pet peeve ) There were 2 sets of towels and wash cloths. I feel that the bath towels could have been larger but they did appear to be fairly new and clean.|| They had free wifi which was a nice surprise because they didn't have it the last time I stayed there. They also had extended cable TV, something they didn't have when I stayed there before.|| The bed was as comfortable as my own bed at home and it was quiet at night ( another nice change from my last stay)|| There is no restaurant on the site and the ice cream stand across the street was closed for the winter but the room I was in had a kitchenette, I just had to supply my own cooking utensils.||I had no complaints about my stay there this time. It was a big improvement over my last stay there. The place isn't the Ritz but overall I feel I got a good deal for my money
The staff are extremely friendly and have all been right there to help us when we needed them. This place only has a bad rap due to the LOE's directing the trash of society here and not doing their job to uphold the law. I myself have witnessed over a dozen officers in this location pretend to do their job and be unbelievably asinine about it. LOE's were here due to trespassers and they had management go alone to investigate! They willingly and knowingly advised a civilian to put themselves at risk when that's the LEO's job! They proceeded to finish off their glorified presents with expressing their opinion on the matter as such - group hallucinations. Yep. Thank you local law enforcement for inhibiting the criminals of our community. This motel deserves more than the trash LEO's direct too. I myself am double upset they sent a civilian alone to do their job!
Place is clean & quiet. Small kitchenette is useful. Only thing is there are no pots & pans or anything to cook with. Haven't seen any cockroaches yet & I've been here for a couple weeks. Which is more than I can say for Motel 6.
The staff does not clean the rooms. Most digusting mattress I have even seen or could imagine covered with a disgusting matress cover and dirty sheets. Nothing was washed and reaked like smoke. You have to provide your own cleaning supplies as the staff does not clean... obviously. I was in a bind and I took the room thinking with some cleaning it might make it barely liveable... The matress cover was off a while I was washing it. Came back to find a few bed bugs crawling around the room... I barely got my stuff through the door and turned around and left. I couldn't bear the thought of sleeping in that gross dump. I'd opt to sleep in my car first. I feel dirty even entering that place. I cannot express how dirty it is. The pictures online are far from what the actual place looks like. No phones. No smoke alarms. Window blinds with what looks to be 10 years of filth and smoke. What a nightmare.
Don't get me wrong, the place is great - nearby many amenities, a large park, and an ice cream shop across the street. However, if you're a non-smoker and traveling solo, beware. They put me in a smoker's room, right beside another smoker's room (the doors face each other) - the smoke from the other room leaks in and chokes you non-smokers.||||There was often yelling from neighbouring rooms in the middle of the night, and the TVs next door were often on until 2am. I believe the motel doubles as a residential apartment in spots; the max number of nights is 70, so I have my doubts. Room rates are $55 for a single, not sure for others. If you can sleep with smoke, yelling or the TV on, you can sleep here for sure.||||Otherwise, the room was quite spacious for my first motel room. The Full-sized bed was a welcome change from a single at home. The microwave takes twice as long to heat something up than a regular microwave. The bar fridge works perfectly. Wireless internet not perfect, but not terrible either - As long as you don't try surfing the net from your bed, you're fine; use the provided table. ||||No room service provided, and if you run out of toilet paper, you need to go to the main desk to get more. There are no phones in the room.
This place is terrible......dirty, threadbare furnishings, poor staff. The daily rate is more than many wonderful accomodations in the area and the weekly rate reflects the fact that you will get no services. NO amenities. Kitchen not equipped and barely functional. If you want ice you have to drive 1/2 mile and pay almost $2 for a bag. You don't save money, you don't get a clean room, walls are paper thin, grounds not well maintained, etc., etc. You're better off sleeping in your car!!
I was pleasantly surprised by the helpful nature of the manager Michelle. I was on a truncated timeline with finding temporary lodging for a move from Anchorage, Alaska to Merrimack NH. I had less than 4 days to find a place before I would start work. When I called Michelle answered the phone and she immediately, proceded to help me overcome this task and take some of the burdens off of my shoulders. Not only did she make sure my room was ready, but she also followed up the next morning after my arrival to make sure I arrived safely. ||||Given my budget for moving, and the short time I was pleasantly surprised by the location. It may be an older Motel, it is charming and quiet. If you are used to the Hilton, this isn't the place for you. Now if you want the old fashion respect, and helpful nature of yesteryear then you will find it here.
