Light Haven - Motel in Hollywood - 1739 Washington St, USA

I really appreciate kitchen and amenities. Would have rate better but was my worst experience ever terrible hospitality and customer service. The owners of this place should give their manager some customer service, hospitality and ethics training since she even talked about her boss. Providing great hospitality makes guests feel welcome, comfortable and valued, leading to an experience that encourages them to return and recommend your business to others because maintaining customers is an opportunity to attract new clients. Before I booked I took a look at reviews and still decided to give it a chance because I know sometimes there's rude guests and wasn't sure if that was the case but once in the property was completely disappointed and the only reason why I did not cancel my 2 reservations was because they were not refundable. I have to point out that we wasn't the only ones that went thru this since other guests shared there discomfort and experience with us. The property manager came to us just because our 3 year old was passing his feets over the rock path as shown on pictures then when he was asking me why he couldn't do it she came back and said that I have to keep him in silence, conclusion kids are not welcome. Can't be out side talking with anyone or on the phone because she will tell you to lower your voice and if you're watching a video on your phone she would tell you to put it down like if it was connected to a speaker and all this at 1 pm come on, it would've been understandable if someone would've been screaming but that wasn't the case or if it would've been late at night. My daughter was outside on a phone call while she smoked a cigarette and she knocked on my door to tell me that was a silent place and she couldn't be talking there and also said if she wants to talk or has a hearing problem (which she don't) she should go out to the street side and talk because those are the rules here, conclusion people with hearing problems are not welcome. It was frustrating since we literally couldn't do anything without being told it wasn't allowed, at some point I meationed receiving an email from the owners but she cut me off saying I don't know what they send to you people when you book but they're not here dealing with anything I'm the one here and I'm the one that decide and just so you'll know windows are not sealed properly so you hear anything in or out of the rooms (like if that's our problem) also complained about cleanings after checkout (then get another job), conclusion she feels the owner just because she lives there and owners are not seen at the property. Not even in a high class hotel have so many rules and when they have silence time it's after 11 pm. I think this lady should be living and working in a elders community and stop making people waist money and ruining their stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE, unless you have been trained by Bear Grylls !!! The only reason I booked this nightmare, was a good memories from 5 years ago, when it was just remodeled and the owners and personal were completely different people. Let's take a short trip to this Floridian pearl First room number 11, was just unliveable, the ac during the day can't keep even 80 degrees inside,the stench of the sewer is unbearable, every single day you'll have a headache and sickness, as soon as you wake up in the bed with 100%synthetic sheets. You can neither cook nor eat. The water pressure is so poor that it is impossible to take a shower or fill up a glass of water in the kitchen. The owner will respond you next day and show up two days later. After he will accept all issues in the room, "he'll talk with his partner about refund" and offer you to open the window in the bathroom and put the fan to get rid of the smell, meanwhile they will move you to another "best king room" at this property. When the lucky day comes and you finally moving ( room number 5, in my case) you'll see the same fan in the bathroom, same small ac, which cannot cool down the "best room" from 1pm to 5 pm, BUT you'll have a water! Yay! A lot of water, even it's dripping out loudly from the shower and you have to keep the shower hose hanging down to not hear this annoying sound. When you get into the shower, after all adjustments of your friendly fan, you'll realize there is no chance to have a cold, cool or even chilly water. Nope. Do it with hot water only, don't torture the taps, just accept this life turn, place the fan In front of you and enjoy the refreshing breeze. You can waist another two days waiting the owner who always has emergency and never shows up on time. The waiting time completely worth it, cause you can unexpectevely study Pro- level of gaslighting. Free of charge. The absolute cherry on top would be sweet Marie, the cleaning lady. During the most of the days she will sit at her narrow dead end, like Cerberus, watch you and ready to yell at you, that you have to close the door faster, you have to close the door carefully (otherwise you will break the lock), you have to be quiet, if your phone suddenly rings outside, you have to shut it down, even next door kids would screaming over the tv, but you are the one who makes main noise. In the moments when you show her every single towel has hairs, she will cause the dryer and bring you another ones again with even more hairs... Remember, when you can't take a shower, towels are superfluous. When you'll get excited enough to be in your lovely room, you can encourage yourself for the next challenge and try to squeeze to the patio to find almost forgotten peace ... If you are not professional treasure seeker, go for this adventure at night, it could prevent your sensitive eyes from the damage. But, if you are, and strong spirit of Indiana Jones moves you forward, you are more than welcome to find a hundred varieties of plastic bags, cups, empty bottle, colorful cans, neon stickers, napkins and other ancient proves of the human being everywhere and anytime. If you get tired after your anthropology mission, please, take your deserved break on the antique moldy furniture. To accomplish your visit take a little walk around historic ghetto area and feel unforgettable vibe of Hollywood Downtown As your priceless reservation won't be ever refunded, don't be upset. The building about to be demolish and the owners suffer from the upcoming hunger, even they already sold it, please, let them fill up the pockets with your money and don't make them spend any penny for a maintenance and your inconvenience. Just be grateful you survived through the incredible greed, rudeness and shamelessness Good luck, my dear adventurer

Marie was so sweet and accommodating. The checkin was simple and we didnt need someone there to let us in, we just unlocked the door and went in. I brought my two dogs with me and i felt very comfortable and welcome with them. There were three of us in the king size studio and there was plenty space for us to sleep and the room was very nicely decorated and clean! You also cant beat the price with everything you get inside. I had absolutely no complaints and will definitely come back if im ever visiting the area again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owner is nice and reasonable, and resolved any issues we had quickly. The courtyard is set up as a common area and has several tables, some hammocks, and decor around it that makes it super relaxing to chill in at night time. The rooms are small, but cozy. It's setup super efficiently in order to use up minimal space. Bed was comfy (I like a firm mattress, not sure how the other beds are). If you're not used to or comfortable with typical Hollywood ambience, it's probably not the place for you.

PLUSES: Clean, kitchen inside, doesn't smell bad inside, beach is 6 minutes away, Walmart is 8 minutes away, pet friendly, tables and chairs outdoor, king bed. Minuses: Horrible and rude management ( if you stay outside and have a conversation with someone, she will tell you to be quiet), anyone can smoke anywhere ( would be better to have a designated place for smoking), you can't open the windows.

What a lucky find this was for a short notice visit on a budget! Great location and very cool people. Absolutely love the courtyard gardens and funky original rooms! This has certainly become our go-to place to stay in SoFla. Central to everything! Can't wait to return.

I LOVE the staff!!! Had the absolute best experience. The price doesn't compare with all that is provided. Especially for Hollywood, not a lot of great selections offered. I travel for work, so I have seen my fair share of places to stay across the U.S. This by far surpasses them all. Close to just about everything you need. Shopping center, ATMS, Library, good choices of places to eat, and good delivery area. The decor was exciting and different, Reghina was more than accommodating for my special request for the entire process. Very friendly. She embodies what comes to mind when you think of Southern Hospitality, but in a down to earth way and not over the top. Or great customer service to be exact. Free parking was provided, grills, nice area for lounging. Family friendly, and singles got along well, which rarely go together in such places. I will definitely book every time I am in this area!

This is a very old and poorly kept hotel. Nothing matches. Looks like it was furnished with goodwill furniture. The toaster didn’t work. The TV/Cable apparently is being shared because With another tv because we kept getting notice that someone else was using the other tv. The windows are shutter glass panels and don’t really close so you can hear everyone talking outside. The pots and pans are all mismatched. The manager was quick to resolve everything. I was going to give a good review until Saturday night were one unit had a party with loud music and people smoking marijuana. They invited a bunch of friends so the limited parking was all occupied. Management had to call the police. I don’t see how this is an ABB qualifies location. I also don’t see how other people gave it a good rating. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in in my 55 years of life. This place needs to be closed down. Don’t believe the other ratings. They must be fake! Never again. Don’t tried to come here and save money. It wasn’t worth it at all. I will complain to American Express to get my money back.
