Excellent hotel. Clean and quiet. Great views on the lakeside. Easy access to the whole point. Wonderful shopping and restaurants very close by. Love the boardwalk. Will get a balcony room next time. Will stay here again. Don't let the price fool you, this place is worth every penny!

This hotel is great for families. The hot breakfast is a great way to start the day. We had a lovely view of the lake and ships coming in. My kids loved the pool. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The rooms are clean, modern and well kept. We have stayed here twice and plan to come back next year

Beautiful, clean, quiet hotel. Breakfast was good. Hotel is in walking distance to so many things - shops, aquarium, barge, lift bridge, beach, lake trail, many restaurants. We could see the barges going under the lift bridge from our window. The booking service we had used (not the hotel, accidentally ended up through an online booking service) canceled our reservation - hotel staff were amazing and we able to still get us in to a room. Wonderful 2 night stay. We arrived in the rain and under a tornado warning for the area. The front desk staff was so cheerful and friendly what a delight to talk with her. We had a balcon king room and oh our view! I love lighthouses and the view from our 1st floor balcony was the two breakwater lighthouses and the lake front walkway! Our room was so very clean and comfortable! ||This hotel is in Canal Park very convenient to restaurants and it was so nice to walk the Canal Park area and the Lake Walkway. We left our car parked as much as we could and walked through the area. The only time we left with our vehicle was to do the North Shore Scenic Drive! ||The staff at this hotel are so friendly. Our room very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was warm and adequate with a variety of items.||I highly recommend this location when in Duluth, MN.

We loved our 4 night stay! Large, L-shaped room facing the lake, fabulous staff…extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The Inn was clean, comfortable beds and responsive to needs. Breakfast was typical fare saved by a team of professional and friendly staff.||Fabulous location with lots of dining and sightseeing options. ||We would choose a room with a patio or balcony next time. Would love to see a light dining and drinks option at the hotel in the evening in the future.

Location simply cannot be beat! Right on the lake, steps from the Lift Bridge, restaurants, shops, and bars. Parking is also plentiful and easy. From our room on the lakeside, we could watch ships come and go from the canal. Breakfast was a nice addition, with simple breakfast foods - scrambled eggs, waffle maker, sausage, prepackaged muffins, etc. Water & coffee in the lobby available at all times. The pool is small, but was sufficient for our young kids. ||The room itself was fine - great views, and 2 comfortable queen size beds. Cleanliness was mediocre -- there was hair in the shower and dust on the end tables and credenza. The whole room only had 1 towel hook, so for 4 people's swimsuits and bath towels, we had to get creative. More hooks would be a very easy & valuable addition! ||The biggest downfall is the noise - not even hooting and hollering, but simply walking through the hallways, in neighboring rooms, and on the floor above us. You could hear all the comings and goings, at all hours of day and night. If someone slammed a door or if a child ran or jumped above us, our room walls shook. The floors could use some more padding or some sort of noise absorbers!

Nice huge clean rooms that are well supplied and friendly staff. Great value for the price . Convenient for everything we wanted to do. Great shopping great restaurants beautiful scenery and views. Cannot have been better. My family fully enjoyed our stay

One of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had as a family. We travel quite a bit and have learned to be very flexible and can typically brush small inconveniences off. However, we felt this needed sharing. -First room assigned at check-in was dirty and not turned over properly. -Second room a/c malfunctioning and only viable solution was to vacate room at a very poor time for our young family to replace unit after long day of travel. I ended up troubleshooting the unit myself to get us by. -No wiggle room provided with using amenities on day of checkout (told we could not use the pool for even 20-30 minutes after 11 check out). Ultimately this was the last straw since we were very flexible and understanding during the preceding 2 days and aforementioned occurrences. The location is very convenient but there are many other nice properties in this area. I would suggest voting with your hard earned dollars and staying at another hotel in Canal Park, particularly if traveling with young kids. Definitely not the “MN Nice” experience you would hope for.
