Lido Key Beach - Beach in Sarasota - 400 Benjamin Franklin Dr, USA

If long walks on the beach while viewing the sunset is your thing, then this is your beach. Lido Key has nearby bathroom facilities, a Cafe, and nice patio to dine or hang out in. There's also outdoor sprayers to rinse the sand off once you're done on the beach. The sand here is soft with sea shells strewn all around for your seashell collection desires. Sometimes it does get crowded but there is plenty of beach area to spread out in if you don't want to mix with the crowd.

I love visiting Lido Beach - it’s clean kept and has lots to offer. I often come here for morning or evening walks. I mean, who doesn’t love catching sunsets on the beach?! I also bring my daughters here to swim or collect shells. Definitely one of my favorite beaches in the area.

This beach has free parking, picnic tables, and clean restrooms. There are restaurants at the beach that open at 11:00 AM. This beach is good for surfing and also collecting shells!

Lido is - amazing. Parking area we found was small, but free. And then it’s a walk to the gulf warm waters. We went on a Thursday afternoon with storms around and one coming in. Absolutely beautiful. This is by far the place to look for shells at. They’re plentiful here. The beach is covered with shells and there’s many that currently keep washing ashore. We came for the sunset. But as you can see from the pictures we got only what we were given on that dark stormy day. And I loved it anyway. The water rolled in with softer lower waves that were more my speed when I’m out in the water. I only waded here but it seemed shallow near the shoreline, enough to go look for those shells that are more undisturbed as they sweep in. Sand is soft and probably the most luxurious sand I’ve walked on. I felt guilty and like royalty at the same time time waking on it - is that even possible? 😊 The water was warm and so inviting. There’s sand dunes and turtle nests and nature that capture the feel of relaxation. Homes and the city roads are a ways from the beach which allows for tranquility 🌞 I loved this beach. I would definitely 💯 come back here.

Beautiful beach! The sand feels like powder, even though there are a bunch of small sea shells, you can still walk barefoot. The sunset views are stunning!!

One of Florida’s most pristine beaches, a picture of relaxation. I found this beach secluded, best for swimming, and shallow water even if you go 15-20 feet deep, you can see right down to your feet. It has 3,000 feet of soft white sand that meets the Gulf of Mexico’s calm, warm water. The gorgeous blues and greens will have you swooning at first sight. Once you recover, you will notice fewer people here than on Siesta Key, which makes for a relaxing beach day. The amazing part was- when I was swimming, 5-6 fishes were playing around my feet, and I can clearly look at them. trust me, it brought the child out of me. For lunch, you can grab some food at the resident concession stand. Or embark on a brief walk to the shopping center at St. Armand’s Circle. but hey, This is a great spot to watch the sunset too, and then walk to St. Armand’s after for a nice dinner. The best part about Lido is that you can park in town, have lunch, and make your way to the beach for the rest of the afternoon to soak up the sun. When you need a refreshment, return to the circle for ice cream to cool off. Lido Beach is perfect for watching the sunset, collecting shells and sand dollars, and swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the gulf coast. You definitely do not want to miss this beach on your trip to Sarasota! they also have a heated pool, timing, and prices are mentioned on the board. $4/adult $2 under 12 monthly/Annual passes are available. September beach time - what could be better!? 🎉🏖️ We arrived mid-day and stayed to see the sunset. Sand is soft, beach is expansive. We sat away from concession / restroom area. Finding a parking spot is a challenge.

basically like a mini gatekept siesta ever since they got the siesta sand! very enjoyable!
