The bartender, Michael, made the best chocolate martini I have ever had! The perfect end to a wonderful meal. We came for dinner, were seated fairly promptly. The service was great and the food was very tasty. Quite impressive for a Friday evening just before Christmas.
Glad I tried it! Only took a star off because it took about 15 minutes for a server to come over despite there only being a few customers in the whole restaurant. Shrimp and grits and crab dip flatbread were both great!
We chose this place very last minute before a show at the Tanger Center and informed the staff that we had to be out by a certain time and they were very accommodating. The food was good and the outdoor seating was a little cramped but not too bad. The staff was pretty good, it did take a while for the first server to come over but after that it was all OK. I’m not sure if I would come back myself, but if you are looking for a good meal downtown and have tried a variety of locations you would be doing yourself a disservice by not trying this one.
This was a relatives favorite place and we found ourselves in Gbo and decided to hit it up in her honor. Just as good as I remembered. I had the shrimp and grits and truly one of best iterations of that dish I've ever had. One dining partner got the Dynamite shrimp appetizer and the other got the Sargent Pepper. Sandwich with pasta salad. We all enjoyed it. Sometimes the old favorites are a disappointment but not this place. Kind of like that old face sweatshirt that fits better and just makes you feel good. Our server was great and that dining room is just too cool. Great bar and a small but eclectic craft beer selection.
For my birthday, I wanted to get lunch somewhere with an upscale vibe, and Liberty Oak fit the bill. Located in a historic building in downtown Greensboro, Liberty Oak does indeed have an upscale, sophisticated decor. Like a lot of places, they have a limited lunch menu with fewer selections than their dinner menu, but I wanted to be back at my hotel by dinner, so I chose their blackened salmon filet with a side of fries. Everything was tasty and well-seasoned, and I enjoyed my meal. Prices were quite reasonable given the atmosphere of the restaurant, but then again, this was lunch - dinner is decidedly more expensive. Still, I was impressed with my lunch here, and I'd be open to returing again to sample their dinner - I do make it out to Greensboro at least once a year.
Took my fam here over the weekend after some serious playtime at the Children’s Museum. Mommy and Daddy worked up a serious appetite chasing after our kiddos for hours and wanted something nice, but somewhere kid-friendly as well. So we landed here based off google reviews between both of our searches. Walking in, I was a little hesitant. The bar in front was nice and classy-looking and the setting felt a little more of an adult’s only vibe. After being taken to our seats though, that feeling lifted as they brought over a high chair and a bunch of crayons for our littles. The kids menu on back of their coloring paper also had a sizeable offering to choose from. Much more than the 3 or 4 I’m used to. Hubby ordered a burger and drinks that he enjoyed but ate before I could photograph so that’s that! I enjoyed the Bourbon Glazed Filet Medallions. Ordered medium rare and it was absolutely delicious. Tender and melted like butter in my mouth. The kids had the alfredo which was delicious as well. Overall I enjoyed our dinner although it did seem a little pricy given the portion sizes. Hard pressed to consider regular outtings here but I can see this for future date nights or for taking clients out for the solid food.
Food was ok. I got the fried oysters and crab cakes with Brussel sprouts. Fried oysters was a little more liquid than I would like, but crab cakes was good. Brussel sprouts need a little more flavoring, but with the bourbon sauce they were good. My friend said his steak was average. Customer service was amazing! And oddly... their water tasted really good. It wasn't sink tap water Overall good place and location, but not my #1 choice in the area.
We enjoyed everything here including salads, entrees, and deserts. Service was attentive and friendly. Food was cooked very nicely and even took special requests into consideration. The restaurant has an upscale vibe but still casual enough for anyone to come in and enjoy dinner. I’d recommend the salmon and jambalaya, both were very good!

One of the best cheap eats spots in Greensboro hidden in an unassuming location. The food is simple, no frills and affordable with an emphasis on sandwiches and salad plates. If youâre after something unique, try the cream cheese and olive sandwich
Outstanding service, personable and friendly. Very family friendly, open atmosphere. Food was outstanding. Ordered the Philly cheesesteak, and Frank beef hot dog. Seasoned well, flavors were great too. Fresh off the cooker, everything was nice and ho
I really expected kind of an ale house feel, from Village Tavern. Then they blew me away. They have some of the best starters, hands down. This is my second visit because the first was just so good a week ago. Weâve now sampled from the steak
November 2023: Had a team dinner here and ordered the blackened salmon. The sauce was quite tasty and it was served with a bed of rice and grilled cauliflower. Flavors tasted like an Indian influence which was great. Salmon was cooked medium, which
My only regret is that I have been in Greensboro for over a decade and I just tried this place. The wings were amazing. My wife's pork chops were amazing. The food smelt so good I forgot to get a pic. Plastic utensils and good ole Southern Soul Music
I stopped here today while traveling and I just want to say wow! Everybody was friendly and the food was great. I got the crab quiche with potato soup and my boyfriend got country fried steak with eggs and grits. Everything tasted fresh and homemade
Was in town and stopped by for lunch. It was great. Got some appetizers and drinks, very tasty. Our waitress (Emily) was amazing. The atmosphere was cool, tavern / high-end sports bar (lots of screens). The price was right. Stop by next time y
My wife and I went on a busy Friday night and we very much enjoyed our dining experience. The management and staff were SUPER friendly and accomodating. We had a great night out and will return in the future. Extra kudos go to Jackie, the GM, for
We haven't even left yet and I felt like I had to write a review IMMEDIATELY! We are celebrating two birthdays and this was my first time to this establishment. Food and atmosphere was nice and very good, but I must give a HUGE shoutout to our server
I've been by Harper's plenty of times and have never gone in. It happened to be the location for this year's family Christmas dinner so I finally tried it. Our waitress Raven was super nice and patient (we had a large party). She kept the refills co
Brandon is an awesome coach. I took a workout class with him and learned some new workouts and had a great time. He's a great coach and a great person. Highly recommend!
My favorite coffee shop, itâs the spot for the cozy girlies. My partner brought me here for the first time and since then itâs been the spot. I like their lattes and egg omelette.
Highly recommend for personal training and small group training. They hold folks accountable while keeping the fun alive with fitness. As we explore businesses in Greensboro, this business has over 40 years established, so we trust them!!
Great place about a block East of S Elm in the latest emerging business district of Downtown GSO. Unique selection of beverages not available in a lot of other spots and clean, relaxing decor with a tip of the hat toward the "Abbey" theme of the esta

Great little walking path. Walk along the creek as you wind through the woods. Over a few bridges, pass a pond, and up to a small waterfall. Cool stone steps lead you up the hills. Very fun walk. Took about 30 minutes to complete with taking side tra
David Stacey was awesome for self defense training. We did 2 private self defense classes for our Girl Scout troop and Momâs and all of us loved it. He tailored the sessions exactly to our interests and concerns. Davidâs energy and guidance left
Prior to joining Pure Barre, I never found a workout routine that I enjoyed and stuck with long term. I have been going to Pure Barre for about a year now, and it's been a great experience! The classes are challenging, but in the best way. There a
