What a little gem. Found this place on Google b/c we were looking for a new local diner. Went here b/c of the high ratings and we were not disappointed. It is an unassuming little place...nothing fancy, has a warm hometown eatery type of feel. The food had all that you could hope for from a diner... fresh egg omelet w/delicious fresh vegetables (I had the NJ omelet w/turkey sausage, tomatoes, and asparagus <-- happily surprised at the crisp asparagus. My husband had the Denver omelet and a side of chipped beef. He loved it). Service was pleasant. This has been added to our list of local diners as a go to!

Not much to look at from the outside because there's a motel next door. DON'T let that stop you!!! Friendly staff greet you. Wonderful waitresses take care of you. Food is very tasty at reasonable prices. Filling portions. If you're gluten-free, you're allowed to bring your own bread, and they'll toast it for you. Old fashioned diner feel but inviting and clean. Worth the drive. Sorry, we all dug in before I could take any pictures.

We went on Veterans Day Saturday the 11th, the first thing we ordered was coffee and an OJ for our son. When the waitress got our drinks the coffee was lukewarm and there was a fly floating in the juice. We told the obviously inexperienced young waitress and she took the juice. As I watched her take the juice back a lady, who I assume is her boss, took the juice and put it back in the refrigerator. When she saw my appalled face at the disturbing act of her she took the juice back out and into the kitchen, she didn’t dump it in the sink next to her which leads me to believe she intended to actually serve that juice to someone else. When the food arrived the main complaint is that they served it as they wanted not as ordered and we were very specific as to how we wanted our food. The omelette my fiancé had although it tasted ok it looked like they cooked it for an hour, it was beyond overcooked. I asked a nearby waitress who was very chatty with the people sitting next to us for a glass of water and without even looking our way she gave me a half nod of head and walked away and a couple minutes later our waitress brought me the water. It was a disgusting dishwasher tasting water and not only made me and my fiancé gag that night my throat started to hurt and by Sunday morning I had a full blown throat infection. It was obvious that making any complaints would have been fruitless so we opted to pay and leave promising to never go back. The place is dated and not sanitary, our waitress was very inexperienced, the other waitresses were more concerned and super friendly with the seniors but standoffish to most other customers. However, the Turkish gentleman who works there was very friendly and courteous. This isn’t a “hidden gem” and quite frankly I truly discourage anyone from going there.

Went for breakfast and stayed for the nostalgia. The food was good and homey. Decently priced and fresh. Our waitress was charming and funny😁 The diner itself is kind of retro and cute. Very classic Jersey diner. I would go back🙂

Was in between clients and decided to get something to eat I have rode past this place several times so I decided to stop The service was wonderful The coffee hot and strong, the food was GREAT!!! Generous portions and affordable prices. I had coffee, bacon, eggs and home fries along with a bowl of grits. The service people and the other customers were very friendly I had a few conversations talking with the customers at the table across from me, the table behind me and the table beside me. A nice family atmosphere. Next time I have a client out that way I will surely be stopping again. Oh yeah in the bathrooms are very clean.

I did not think it was possible to mess up on a order of pancakes, it was not cooked all the way, the food is gross i don’t know how people could eat here.

We just happen to be in the area and in need of some breakfast, and happened to end up at the town and country diner. What good fortune we had! We were greeted by a bunch of Girl Scouts, who were eager to sell their cookies, and we were eager to buy.
