Go clockwise on the corkscrew if you prefer an easier up and steeper down. Trails are well marked. River was dried when went
This is the best hike in GJ in my opinion. It has a lot of elevation change (just under 2K) and even though the signs say 1.5 miles (3 miles round trip) and it’s actually 4 miles round trip, it’s awesome! Its start and even the middle part is kind of meh, but once you start climbing and especially once you reach the switchbacks, it gets awesome. Cool trail. Amazing views. Great scenery. I added a ton of pictures so you can get a feel for the top part of the trail. We have a bunch of kids and they can all (five kids, 18 to 8) make it reasonably easily. It just takes a while. I’d recommend it for anyone looking to experience the Colorado National Monument and looking for some exercise. Climbing to the top of Liberty Cap is a little challenging ever since they took the ladder down. I wouldn’t recommend anyone doing it without some good climbing skills, but it’s certainly doable.
Great local hike for local folks and visitors to the Grand Valley. Plan to spend 2-3 hours for the hike. Need to be in decent shape because there is a good amount of an uphill climbing to do, but we'll worth it.
Awesome place to hike and it's not far from the city. A few different trails to choose from. Keep in mind that the parking lot isn't very big so it's probably not good for RV parking. Good cell reception as well 😁
This is a difficult ascent to Liberty Cap from the Wildwood Trailhead. Great for hiking or trail running. It is 7 miles to the Rim Road Trailhead (14 miles round trip). The .5 miles beyond the Cap are difficult. The next 5 miles is a moderate hike through high desert scrub forest. Great views throughout.
Hiked the foothills and loved every second of it. Grew up on a ranch just east of here. Explored these hills all the time. Took horses up into Ute Canyon years ago.
Great hike near town, quick 4mi loop good for evenings after work. Even when it's 95* during the day, this area cools down nicely. Not enough parking but it's free so I'll take it. Trail recently improved by crew.
As others have said, moderately challenging but beautiful!

Always a good time riding the trails at Lunch Loops on my mountain bike. Challenging and fun. The ride to the top of Eagles Wing is worth it when you get to the top and can take in the views. Beautiful.
Great family hike for young kids and you get stunning views. A 4-year-old and 2-year-old did this hike. Highly recommended for all ages. Parking is very limited so get there early. There is some overflow parking at a picnic area across the road.
We visited this cute little coffee/beer place today and fell in love! The owner was amazing very informative on all the beers they had on tap. My husband enjoyed his cider. While my daughter and I loved our ice lattes. We will definitely come back!
Tanner is a very welcoming and wonderful individual to be pierced by! He was very accommodating and patient while I picked jewelry and ultimately decided with what I wanted to do. He is super welcoming and made the experience much more relaxed than I
Consistently subbing Bella Balsamic's butter infused olive oil for butter and using their other extra virgin olive oils in cooking helped lower my "bad" (LDL) cholesterol from 238 to 90 over a year and a half, virtually eliminating my risk of cardiac
