Absolutely adorable place to visit. Would highly recommend stopping in. Even if it's just to browse, it's worth it. So much to see! The only downside, they don't take credit/debit cards. Cash or check only. Either way, worth it!
It was nice. They had a nice collection of old sewing machines and a few quilts. They had quite a bit of very nice homemade items for sale.
This little museum is a must see for quilters. They sell a few handmade items and quilts and have old interesting quilts on display but the gem is a collection of quilts by one quilt artist from Germany. The detailed appliqué and embroidery along with the creative aspect of her work is marvelous.
Actually 4+ stars, Great day trip to visit all the exquisite handy work! Lovely sisters sharing information on the quilts and collection of sewing machines 🧵🪡
All quilters must go, a place for quilts to have their final resting place. Seems like a few families send them here when no longer wanted. There are squares outside hung up high with the name of the person who made them. Inside there are many on the walls and a few ticked away in a back room. Bring some cash to buy from the local quilters, placemats, table runners, quilts and lap throws. There is so much history here you will for sure leave with much appreciation and admiration of how much ladies from long ago and today spend time making tiny stitches. I will be back again, on the drive in there was an eagle gathering grass in the field a spectacular sight, the wildflowers along the road were in full bloom, make sure to go early as it’s volunteers running the place. They do a fabulous job and if I lived closed I would be proud to be a part of preserving the history.
Large number of exibits. Very friendly. Good prices on things they sell. None of the pics I posted were panels. They were all pieced!
Awesome place, history on quilts. Great selection if your purchasing.
So many quilts! All ages and styles. The ladies are so friendly make me feel at home. Books, material, notions and a lot of other handmade crafts for sale. They even invited me to come and work on my own quilt there. I'd like to just go and sit on the porch. What a lovely place.
