Fun basement spot. Kind of speakeasy-ish, but still easy enough to find. Terrific list of wines and I really enjoyed the "wineman's choice". I also had the NY grilled cheese, which was terrific. Definitely a place on my list to return to soon.
Really great wine bar. Interior is awesome and sets the right mood. Music was great. The sommeliers were very nice. Had the black garlic grilled cheese which was fantastic. Tried a sparkling, orange, mystery red, and mulled wine. All very good. Prices reasonable, experience fantastic.
So far we have visited twice and have had a lovely experience each time. We have sat at the upstairs Le Clos each time, we like the indoor/outdoor feel. The vibe is pretty chill with soft lighting and heaters, perfect for a first or second or 100th date. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, we've had wonderful conversations each time, and the wine options are great. The Wineman's Choice is a great option for those who are looking to explore and you can choose between red or white, you won't be disappointed. When it comes to the grilled cheese, the Oregonian is a great choice. Cheers!
Great hidden wine bar with interesting wines you’ve never had before. Cozy environment with great service! And awesome grilled cheese. We will definitely be back 🍷
If you’re looking for a great glass of wine with a unique and romantic venue experience, you have to make it out to Les Caves, A Winery Bar on NE Alberta Street in Portland, Oregon. Although you can’t see it from the street, once you find it once you’ll be easily able to find it again. Walk down the alley next to Red Sail & follow the stairs down. As you walk down, you should see a mural of a Greek god holding grapes and with grapes in his beard, and that’s how you’ll know you’re close. If it’s available and you’re capable of lifting yourself up, I strongly recommend asking if you can sit in the wine cave. It’s romantic, cosy, we’ll decorated, and unlike any seating option I’ve seen before. For wines by the bottle, the Grosjean Gamay, Valle d'Aoste, Italy, 2021 Vintage was $60, sweet, strawberry forward, and a lighter medium bodied red. If you’re feeling adventurous, I recommend getting a glass of the Winesman’s Pick. When we did this, we got to try one of the wines not listed on their regular menu - Cado Tsoun Rouge, Vin de France, 2021 Vintage. The staff did a great job at making us feel special and taken care of. Since we didn’t have a reservation we first ordered the bottle from the standing bar along the wall, and then when a table opened up large enough for our party they sat us right away.
The Nook is the perfect place for a great conversation over a glass of wine. I was here with two close friends yesterday and we fully enjoyed the purple couch experience. Nathan was a great host and recommended the perfect rosé to follow our champagne toast. I already have plans to be back again this week.
Perfect date night spot! The atmosphere is dim and cozy. The nook was a special treat. Jeff and Rachel were wonderful hosts, attentive and knowledgeable. They helped us pick some wines to try based off our flavor pallet.
We had the classic sandwich and chilled red wine. Really had a great time here. We will definitely cone back again to try other items. Les caves is a nice little hangout spot for a date. I highly recommend checking out.

Awesome facility and located 5 minutes away. It was easy to find, although I wish it had a Risio sign outside. Their website was nice to navigate through and book a drop in session. Margaret the owner communicates and follows through and she looks li
