Excellent first experience. The food, the staff, service and the experience in general. We ordered the world famous char-grilled oysters, the crispy fried shrimp roll, crispy catfish sandwich and the grilled fish sandwich. All very tasty! They have parking a few feet away is very convenient too.
Raw bar selections were great, I tried all available oysters. They were all fresh and delicious. Also ordered the scalloped potatoes and cucumber salad, scalloped potatoes were awesome! The cucumbers were good, but nothing special. I’ve heard they have the best fried chicken, but unfortunately this was not my experience, it was pretty bland in general and without the hot sauce and hot honey on the table, just wasn’t good, It was however hot and fresh, but was nothing to write home about. Go for the oysters and ambiance, worth the trip.
Awesome place in heart of Charleston. Low key, great atmosphere, food is GREAT (small menu with perfect amount of choices for fresh seafood, fried chicken, and other desirable dishes. Staff is real good. Parking can be tough.
The food here was good but overpriced, and the service was disappointing. We ordered the char-grilled oysters, fried brussels sprouts, hush puppies, and Leon’s big chicken platter with cole slaw and scalloped potatoes as sides. The food was good but nothing to write home about and definitely overpriced. The service was slower than expected, and our server added a 25% service charge on our bill, which was unexpected since we only had a party of 4 which we didn’t think was considered a large party. Because of this and the overpriced food, we likely wouldn’t come back again.
Leon’s was AMAZING! The food and service was so good! It was a perfect chill place to have grilled oysters and some cocktails! Definitely get the grilled oyster! They were delicious! I am so sad I was just visiting Charleston or else I would make this my regular place to go. Can’t wait for my next visit!!
Great atmosphere and service. Fried chicken has a delicious crispy crunch (one of the best I've ever had) but admittedly could have used a bit more seasoning but the hot honey and hot sauce helps. The char-grilled oysters are every bit worth the "famous" monicker. A def Charleston must!
First time visit today for a late lunch. It was 2 pm on a Thursday and the place was very busy which is always a good sign. Food was excellent. My wife had the fried clams strips and I had the fried catfish sandwich. Coleslaw side was a great choice. I had the soft-serve vanilla ice cream 🍦 for dessert. Yummy 🍦. Our waiter was awesome. Definitely will be going back.
Busy neighborhood spot. I tried the crispy clam wrap. It was fresh and crispy. I also had the grilled oysters this place is known for. The oysters were a bit small but tasted very good. My schrimp sandwich was also good. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly and had a slight spice to it. Overall, it's a nice place just not overwhelming.
We stopped by the Oyster Bar during Happy Hour and enjoyed a very pleasant dining experience with Nailia. We started with a few Fire-Grilled Oysters, a Baja Fish Taco, and a couple of 1/2 priced drinks. Those items were good, but the items from the m
We used this for a party- had a blast! It had so many activities and even outdoor area. The bartenders were great and so friendly. The space was not only fun but beautiful. Would highly recommend for a party.
It was a beautiful studio unlike any others in town with interesting use of the space to display the artwork. I especially love the elephant in the room upstairs and the swing in front of the art work on the ground floor. I went back a few times duri

We are headed to Charleston next week and will stay at 86 Cannon for the 4th time. We are building a home in the area and have made this hotel our home away from home whenever we are in town. Not only is the property lovely, but the staff is beyond
