Leonardo's Trattoria & Pizzeria - Italian restaurant in Mandeville - 2625 Florida St, USA

First time here. Dine in, If you don't want to wait an hour, order pizza. The calamari was so fresh .The veal was very good. The special, Beef short rib, lacked seasoning. The meat balls, Awesome, yet very little sauce to flavor noodles. Being our first time, pick your time's as they are fast passed and very busy. The service was excellent, as we watched the employees as they worked so well together and took care of every patron. Everyone was so friendly and they know their menu , don't be afraid to ask their advice and or recommendations on items. We could also tell there were several repeat customers. Very large family portions . Oh, how can I forget,the Desert's! Enjoy there or take to go, make sure you have milk at home! Can't wait to try their Pizza. You can't beat the menu pricing.

So, our food was great and the service was excellent. However, this time unfortunately we were seated at the pizza bar. This was educational as far as how unsanitary the pizza area workers are. We watched the gentleman making pizza play with his hair, the garbage can, his phone, and even his nose and then immediately put his bare hands into the toppings as well as kneed the pizza dough. We were going to order pizza until we saw this. During the more than an hour we were there not once did he wash his hands. We pointed it out to the waitress and she said “hopefully the oven is hot enough to kill any germs”. Normally, we would rate them at a 5 but a 2 seems generous today.

Was looking for good and inexpensive pizza and found exactly that! Crust was crispy and flavors were great - not too much sauce or overloaded with toppings. Probably the best pizza I’ve had on the north shore. I grew up in New England where cheap and delicious pizza and bagels are staples and Leonardo’s is on par with those places from home. Highly recommend.

Always great service and good food. One of our favorite Italian spots to go with the family.

I was there last night with a friend on an impromptu night out. Mari was our waitress & I can’t say enough about what a joy she was. The most happy, pleasant & personable person I have met in food service in a while. She made our night so enjoyable. I got the lasagne, which I had been craving & my friend got the eggplant Parmesan. Both dishes were delicious! I have always like the consistency of the food. It never disappoints.

Leonardo’s in Mandeville was a great last minute decision for date night! We were seated within about 15 minutes on a Friday night with no reservation. The service was quick and took great care of us. The food was tasty and well prepared. We even got some tiramisu for dessert. We definitely recommend this place! Very chill atmosphere.

The BEST dining experience I have had in a very long time... maybe ever! Mari is hands down a rockstar! Her service was second to none, the food was amazing, and didn't kill our bank account. This will become a regular dining option for us! ❤️

Incredible. The missus and I are in town for business and looked up this place. A wonderful smell greeted us at we hit the front door and the place was packed. Once we were sat we were greeted immediately by a knowledgeable server (Haley) who was extremely attentive. The calamari was top notch, my wife’s carbonara was ace, and my pizza was next level. Food this good shouldn’t this inexpensive but here we are. Sadly we leave Louisiana on Friday morning, but should we ever come within 100 miles of this place, we will be back.
