Everybody's review is saying it's good I have never walked it but I worked in the area watch out for coyotes.
Brought my dog and he loved the trail! The Leona Canyon trail was a good mix with inclines declines and lots of beauty from the nature around you!
Amazing trail and beautiful area! It's not a long trail, but very quiet and peaceful!
Good walking trail with hills and some shade from the sun.
Seems like an underutilized trail, so I hope the secret doesn't get out too fast. Maybe it was because it was a chilly day, but there were very few people walking. Nice, easy walk on a wide path. Easily accessible and great parking courtesy of Merritt College. I'll definitely be back for more walks with the pup.
Great short hike. Highly recommend starting at the bottom of the trail. Search for Leona Lodge, as you pass the lodge you will see a large open space right next door which is where the lower trail head starts. One or two areas require sure footing.
Beautiful and relaxing fight first time going to California
Great place to go hiking, walking, etc with your dog or without. Quiet area, plenty of parking but Merritt College may charge. Very quiet. Nobody around (sunday).
Really like this trail as it offers many sub route to take, based on the length we wanna go. There's a viewpoint where we can see the city. The trail is beautiful and very green. Not a lot of parking but not too bad. No round way back though, have to
What an exciting and wonderful place to go on a Sunday afternoon. There's dancing, great music, roller skating, people watching, you're near the Marina and Jack London Square, it's a place to rent equipment for water sports, and an excellent place f
A frequent stop of mine. Dog area on the hill, clean water fountain and comfortable benches. I have meditated at this peaceful place on Lake Merritt. The side walk toward Grand Ave along the lake's edge has picturesque Oakland background. The path of
Nice little park that had a little bit of everything. Slides, play structures, a spinning thing the kids can get on and be twirled all around, swings, sand play area, basketball area, lots of grass, and a beautiful scenic trail that leads to the DMV.
I always pass this area when I'm driving on the freeway, and as silly as it may seem, I've always wanted to walk across the bridge over the freeway! So one day when I had free time, I did! & I'm glad I went exploring because I came across this cute l
Lovely large and inviting space. Seems just for the neighborhood folk and park affecionado. Zooming down Shattuck, you might miss bushrod park. Get out of your car or just park your bike. Stretch out and relax at another beautiful space!
On a lazy Sunday morning, it can be a real good place to sit down and just have some alone time. Not the best sights nor it is quiet, it's next to the Port Of Oakland after all, it does offer that unique solitude.
I have walked my dogs in the past. A very peaceful and serene place. I enjoy the fresh air. Most people with their dogs are on the leash. They are responsible for their dogs. I haven't been their in a while. So hopefully nothing has changed.
Cozy, unpretentious yoga studio for people of all ages and abilities. I've only gone to this location one time so far but the instructor was great. Lots of natural light and a nice waiting area with clean restrooms and water available. Highly recomme
I just had the most amazing meal at Casa Borinquena, and I can't wait to share my experience! The potato balls were seriously tasty, especially with that sauce they came with. And let's talk about the chicken skewer â it was packed with flavor and
We went at 8pm and ordered a 6-piece buffalo wing and a pepperoni pizza. There was one man who was working the front and kitchen. He was extremely kind and friendly, and the food was ready quickly. We wish we had ordered more than 6 wings, as they we
Love to support small business inspired by family and culture and led by strong women! Highly recommend the latiya latte and champorado mocha (as well as their chicken empanada) ð we had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with co-owner Ari and l
Very authentic Afghani restaurant. Excellent if you're looking for a halal option in Oakland. 20 minutes driving from SF downtown. Very warm atmosphere. I loved the traditional seating option where you take off your shoes and sit on a comfy pillow on
Great collection of large habitats for many of Californiaâs larger land mammals and the iconic bald eagle and California condor. Spotted nearly every species on a hot California morning. Great, informative signage. Beautiful donor wall. Loops back
Not only a great chocolate shop but a great coffee shop as well. This little boutique on College Ave had been flying beneath my radar until I stumbled in the other day. The place has the fare one expects at a good coffee shop, a selection of coffe
My first time at The Sound Room. I went for my birthday as I LOVE jazz and live bands. I loved the vibe here. Seemed like most of the people there were regulars, which I wouldn't mind being a part of now that I know it's a non-profit supporting local
My new fave: Cute little space with a couple tables inside and out front, very sweet team behind the counter (brother & sister?). For the price of an avocado toast elsewhere, I got an avo toast AND an açaà bowl. The toast was topped with a flavor b
Loved this place! I was visiting from Korea and I needed some Asian food with rice. The place is small and simple but Ben and the other perosn working there were very friendly. They offered hot tea, and more rice! Food was good and the prices were re
