I’ve tried coming here prior to this visit, but they close early and lock their doors earlier, so be sure to observe those times on their site. I finally got in and sat at the bar on a Wednesday recently and enjoyed my visit! The guests at the bar were friendly, as were the staff. The menu isn’t very broad, but has just the right amount of Italian delicacies to choose from.
I started with their Grandma's Bread Pizza, which was decent, but far from impressive. It lacked a decent amount of sauce and what sauce it did have, immediately soaked into the bread. The bread was great though. Next up what their Frisee & Lardon salad and this was excellent! Best thing I had on this visit! The egg really helped make the salad that much creamier, the lardons had an amazing, gentle smoke to them, which really helped make this feel like a taste of being in a country cabin in the winter! My entrée was their Linguini Carbonara… The pasta was a perfect texture; spot on! The overall flavor of the dish was more on the side of the pasta water, rather than the richness from the egg and creamy cheese coming together with it. The saltiness of the pancetta was helpful.
For dessert I heard they had a dessert bar area, so I went there and got a piece of their pumpkin bread pudding – This was outstanding! When served warm, it is something I will now crave!!
Overall, I enjoyed my visit and look forward to returning to try their next seasonal menu.
My family and I dined here today to celebrate my Moms upcoming birthday. This place is excellent. All of the staff were welcoming and friendly. Our server was perfect - and the food, wonderful! No issues with anything - perfect dining experience. We had one kid with us and they accommodated her perfectly. Will be returning and recommending to others! Thanks for the great time!
Dinner...FABULOUS...Everything is homemade. Everything. Linguine Carbonara, Hot Sausage with Broccoli and Cavatelli, Meatballs and the Bread. Oh my. And then the Tiramusu and Cappucino - so wonderful!! The staff were Awesome and made us feel like we were at Nonna's House - Love this place! ❤️❤️❤️
From start to finish, everything was wonderful. A lovely, extensive wine list to enjoy with our appetizers, led into the delicious entree’s. We chose the house made manicotti (all the pasta is made in house) and the chicken parmigiana. The after dinner espresso martini was on point. We did not save room for dessert, but attached is a lovely space where many were gathered for coffee, cocktails, dessert and conversation. The service was impeccable. We thoroughly enjoyed and look forward to going back.
Consistently one of the best experiences in the area. When they say fresh handmade pasta and sauces, they do they mean it.
This is a restaraunt that feel like it should be more expensive than it is. Incredible food, welcoming and kind staff, relaxed but not too quite atmosphere, and a VERY reasonable price point.
Late lunch/early dinner table for 2 couples:
4 appetizers 4 mains and waters all around.
The bill was just under 45 dollars per couple before tip. Glass never got half empty and the chef came out to check on us once we were finished. Would recommend 100% to anyone in the area.
We went in for espresso and dessert. Definitely will be back. Excellent!
I was on a return trip to Pittsburgh where I still own a house. Needed a place to eat and this came up on yelp.
The restaurant has several rooms including a patio and a bar. Very nice and cozy. The staff was extremely friendly.
I was able to have lunch on the patio on a day that turned out to be sunny and I am so glad I came here. I ordered the gnocchi which was super light. The sauce was a tasty marinara but I felt like it warranted a meat sauce instead of marinara for some additional density since the gnocchi was so deliciously light. The Caesar salad was excellent.
I am very happy to see this restaurant in Carnegie!
See you next time!
Very nice local place, good for casual dinner. The staff was very friendly and nice, prices are affordable, decent wine selection. The food was good but not as impressive as I expected ( because it was highly recommended by friend). Overall we had a nice evening!
This place is awesome. Huge bowl, small bowl, rails, full pipe. The place is good for skate boarders, bmxers, scooters, and kids just make sure you're respectful and stay out of the way of the folks using the park with wheels.
I have been happily s
Great breakfast place! I go to Pittsburgh on occasion to visit family and this is a place I enjoy stopping at for breakfast, as my relatives in the area turned me on to it. The food is delicious. I enjoy the eggs annd breakfast meats, but they h
An absolutely adorable coffee shop to work in. All the food smelled amazing. My iced tea was great. It was really clean and cozy. Lots of tables and comfy chairs to find the perfect spot to talk with a friend or to work.
I went here for dinner on a Friday night and had a great experience. The staff were very friendly. I ordered the chicken steamed dumplings and shumai appetizers. For dinner, I ordered beef bulgogi and my husband got the bibimbap and we shared a sushi
Excellent American-style Mexican restaurant. Mostly Americanized dishes, but there are a few authentic standouts. Everything is superbly made, and quickly delivered, and staff is fantastic. A great option any night of the week!
10/10 recommend pizza place!
we recently moved to the area and going through other reviews i decided to give this restaurant a chance for pizza. the pizza was perfect! no too saucy, the cheese was right on and the bread is on the thinner side which
