There’s a few pros and cons. Let’s go first with the pros. Great location, there’s a pharmacy close where you can get basic stuff that you may need. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. Our room was clean with clean towels and sheets. The cons.. it’s a very old building that is both hotel and apartment rentals so you may find people hanging around. The receptionist told me that the parking lot is not secure. There was not even a water bottle in the fridge which I really think it should be mandatory in all hotels. Our room had a locked door that seems to connect to another room. That room from the hallway had a very weird symbol hanging which made us feel weird. I’m not sure we would stay there again

We have family in Buffalo and had to attend a funeral on Thursday 7-31. I booked this hotel so we did not have to drive to airport and back to be with family, and it was the most reasonable cost in the area. When I tell you the bed folded in on us I am not kidding. It was like watching uncle Feister get swallowed up in his bed. We were moved to another room :( one bed was fine the other a sinker :( i was so upset. There was one outlet in the room and one in the bathroom. It was NOT A GOOD PLACE TO STAY FOR $200 A NIGHT. Next time I'll drive to the airport. I wanted my money back!!!!! Horrible

As someone that was unfortunately a tenant at this building I cannot recommend it as a hotel or apartment. The building owners use the historical status of the building to not make any improvements, including adding any sort of wheelchair accessible ramp. It's has also massively gone downhill over the past couple years. As a guest you'll have to deal with some of the "interesting" tenants as well as everything that comes with an apartment building. You'll also be stuck with heavily outdated and minimal "amenities", and the parking is pretty awful. My car got more damage in that parking lot than street parking for years. As a tenant, avoid this place like the plague. There are multiple things in the lease of questionable legality, they will charge a mandatory cleaning fee upon move out but you'll move into a disgusting apartment. When I moved in I had to spend almost a full day cleaning so not sure what they are using that 100$ for, my apartment was maybe poorly swept prior to move in. I had to clean everything in the "kitchen"(it was literally a hallway with the smallest most outdated appliances) because every surface was sticky with grease from prior tenants. Massive build ups of dust around heaters and door frames, mold in the bathroom. Like, legitimately disgusting, but when shown to us we were told it would be cleaned as the previous tenant still lived there. They will charge you for normal wear and tear items that NYS does not actually allow you to charge for, but they are fully aware and don't care because of how tedious the small claims court process is for tenants. When you move out, be prepared to be turned into a zoo exhibit. They have 0 respect for you as a tenant and will have multiple groups of people in your apartment every day of the week, and weekend if you don't actually stand up to them. All of this for one of the most unpleasant apartments to ever live in. You have 0 control over the heat because the radiators don't work, 57 layers of paint on the wall, 2 of the world's smallest closets, and they are even so generous to include free parking in their lot where your car will get dinged and hit by everything imaginable. The ONLY thing this building has going for it is the location, which is admittedly great. However for what they are charging, living in a literal shoebox isn't worth it. They also slapped an indefinite annual percentage increase on rent, but never made a single improvement to the building my entire time living there. Oh and be prepared for the elevators to work maybe half the time. My favorite thing was when the property manager thought LED lights were more of a fire hazard and used more electricity than incandescent bulbs then accused me of growing weed because I had the audacity to have a few philodendrons. Just do yourself a favor and don't live here, and I wouldn't recommend staying here unless it's an emergency.

Look elsewhere. On arrival, the attendant went on for a while about drunk people in the parking lot checking cars at night, when a simple "keep your car locked" would suffice. She then felt the need to comment that we looked tired, which I don't think was what my wife needed to hear in that moment. The king bed was one of the worst we've ever "slept" on, sinking toward the middle all night. The shower pressure on the 8th floor was disappointing but serviceable, and we didn't have problems with hot water despite the signs in the room saying we might. There was literally one single electrical outlet available, which made charging devices a headache. The worst was in the morning, when I called the elevator to the 8th floor and stood there for 10 minutes. A guy who looked like a repairman walked up and down the stairs nearby a few times, I asked if he worked here and he walked right by me without a sound. Called the front desk, no answer, so I walked down 7 flights of stairs where nobody was manning the front desk. After 10 more minutes of waiting in the lobby, calling my wife to vent, and shouting into the void to see if anyone was in the back, someone randomly came by and let me know the elevators had just been reset. If we never stay here again, it'll be too soon.

Oh my goodness, such a whimsical hotel! 😍✨ We had a great time staying at The Lenox. We were only here for 1 night because we were seeing Chappell Roan in concert at the Outer Harbour. We were charmed by the antique phone booth in the lobby, the ornate staircase railings, and the spooky old wood-panelled elevator. The room itself was perfect for our group - not too big, not too small. The air conditioner was in good working order, so we didn’t melt! Big closet for our clothes. Washroom could’ve had a bit more in terms of amenities (only one tiny bar of soap for washing your hands and could’ve used more towels). Wifi was very spotty - only worked if 1 person was using it at a time. But…we were SUPER thrilled with the concierge who was really friendly and bubbly! If you know, you know 🏳️‍🌈💅 Parking was easy (and free!) and there’s a 24/7 pharmacy next door which was handy for late night snacks. The area is gorgeous with tree-lined streets and lots of beautiful architecture. Would definitely stay here again!

We were travelling to Buffalo to see the Toronto Maple Leafs play the Buffalo Sabres and decided it would be fun to spend the night. We wanted to bring our doggie too, so we needed to find a pet friendly place that would be close enough to the KeyBank Center and the Anchor Bar, where we wanted to have dinner.|We found this pleasant looking hotel, which advertises itself as the oldest Hotel in Buffalo.|We opted for the Double Room that came with 2 Double Beds. The price was $232 for the night including taxes and with a $25 surcharge for our dog.|We had to wait a little while at check-in while the girl working the counter checked in other guests. Her name was Sam and she was very friendly and helpful.|We were able to get our room keys (yes - actual keys) and check into our room pretty quickly. It was a nice room with a nicely appointed bathroom. There was no Air-Conditioning and the room was pretty stuffy, so we had to open the windows to cool it off.|Later that night I had to go down to the front desk to ask for a bathtub plug as there wasn't one in the room and we wanted to have a bath - Sam was able to find one for me pretty quick.|The elevator is old but fast and its obvious that there are a lot of people living in this hotel, which isn't necessarily a bad thing - as far as Im concerned it makes it quite safe.|We walked down the street a couple of blocks to the Anchor Bar for dinner and then caught an Uber to see the game.|When we returned we needed to air out the room again as it had gotten quite stuffy while we were gone. Even though we were up on the 7th floor it was quite noisy outside from the street and there was some kind of 24 hour pharmacy just below us that had people screaming and fighting at times.|Overall, it was a pleasant stay, the staff were great and the price wasn't too bad.

We were told this is the oldest hotel in Buffalo. Built in 1897 I think. As such, there are limits to available modern options but they do a great job. Room was recently renovated, was clean, and had everything we needed. The old elevator and twisty, narrow hallways are really nostalgic and interesting. No key cards here. They are still using actual keys! It was so interesting. We didn't see any ghosts but there is bound to be some. The location is within walking distance of some great restaurants on Allen St. We had dinner at Casa Azul and it was excellent and accommodated my wife's dairy, wheat, and egg allergies. I would not hesitate to come back.

NEVER GO THERE! I REPEAT NEVER GO THERE! Reeks of cigarettes, extremely filthy, absolutely no service. The crowd is iffy and the general feeling is that of unsafe and unsanitary. Should be closed down immediately!
