Lemon Tree Inn - Motel in Pomona - 1700 Gillette Rd, USA

2 Cockroaches in bathroom. Cigarette smoke permeated the room. Old dark drapes that did not open. No carpet in room...just tile...and it was filthy! Our feet were black from the dirt. No furniture except table under T.V. Television had 3 channels. But we get what we pay for, right?

Front desk person was competent but the room was atrocious. Graffiti everywhere, stains and mold on walls and ceiling, blood on floor. BLOOD. the reviews are not exaggerating. It's a complete dump and i felt unsafe, could hardly sleep.

This place is amongst the worst. There is graffiti all over the furniture and walls. the ceiling had stains and gum stuck in several spots. the bathroom had hair all over it and the shower looked extremely worn and tired. the pillows had stains, the walls were dirty and had patches everywhere. I think its time to call it quits on this place. luckily we didnt see any roaches, very surprised. this place is a dump. ive spent less for way nicer places. never staying here again.

The staff was very kind and courteous. The rooms were clean. It suited my needs. I was amazed at how the front dest attendants were all very nice and if you did have an issue they would work with you. They were even cool enough to have a conversation and asked me how I was doing and took an interest. I felt safe and got good rest and relaxation. Traffic is a bit noisy.. but I like how there was a 24 gas station convenience store like right next door and they also had laundry facility. So in all i have nothing but good things to say about. Good people all around. Thank you again.

Our room did not have a refrigerator in the room as advertised and the microwave was dirty, without a glass plate to put food on in the microwave. Last weekend, they were changing the doors out. Instead of knock before going in, they just walked in. I knew they were changing doors however I thought they could at least knock first, before entering. Which they did not and that got me really mad. Today I did check out, however yesterday they were trying to kick us out. I did have proof of the receipt and I told them to check their computers first, they never came back yesterday. The room was cheap and ok, however there was those things that I mentioned that a person would need to think about before they decide to stay at this motel.

11/10/2020, room 202. Hands down, the nastiest hotel that I've ever been in. Had we not already paid beforehand(they have a lovely "no refund" policy), I would have turned heel based on the lobby alone. The pictures honestly don't do it justice; It doesn't look as if any part of this place has been thoroughly cleaned in ages. PLEASE, for the safety of yourself and your loved ones, do not spend your money or time here! *The lights operate on a motion sensor; they sporadically came on several times over the course of the six hours that we stayed there, without us moving, waking us each time.

LIKES: They switched our room to a slightly better room. Although they only switched bec the toilet was leaking in our first room. They provided soap, shampoo, conditioner, and clean towels. They had air conditioning and heater. Much parking, close to dennys, Pomona fairplex, and gas station. DISLIKES: Our first room had roaches, It was all tagged up, Smelled like an old convalescent/nursing home, Furniture all broken or tagged, lights didn't work, mold in some areas, no remote to TV, shower completly dirty, pillows stained & old, shower curtain was filthy, whole in the wall like someone punched it, and the lock on the bathroom didn't work. The second room they switched us to was the same except less tagging but still tagged, a little cleaner but still mold and filth, the lights worked, TV worked but no remote, didn't see a roach in that room thankfully, there were cigarettes in the sink drain, and the bathroom lock worked. Trust me, you don't wanna see photos of the rooms. Everything was basically old, outdated, and filthy. I paid $78 + $20 deposit. So you get what you pay for so I can't complain much; although, I've stayed at places for the same price for better. Wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel was fairly good for the price it was at. I was apprehensive staying there because of the reviews, but it wasn't as bad as some people made it out to be, at least when I went there. The guy at the counter was really nice, especially when we arrived on the wrong day and he was very understanding. Checking in was quite fast so we could rest for the night. The room was really big and fairly clean, although there were some stains on the curtains and walls, the beds and floors were both fairly clean. The bathroom was also clean, with the exception of the bath tub that had some deposits of dirt and grime, but they provided a bunch of complimentary shampoos and soaps, though didn't use them. The noise was fairly quiet during the night so we were able to rest. Not to mention there was a gas station nearby and the location was easy to find. All in all, this was really good for the price, and for a cheaper place to stay you get what you pay for.
