A decent, reasonably priced hotel in Santa Barbara. Room was clean and relatively quiet except for some noisy neighbors in an adjacent room. Very nice courtyard and veranda. Housekeeping was good, except that they did not come on the last day. Most hotels these days don't offer any routine housekeeping anymore so we were pleased that for the first 3 days our room was freshened without having to ask. Not sure what happened on the last day. Would stay here again.
Location is good, lack of customer service, I made a reservation on Expedia and I had to pay again when I got there. They charged a deposit of 150$ which I was not aware off. Room was okay, just not used with this kind of structure but I guess it’s and old building. They have a door that connects the rooms which made me feel scared. In general was fine. Would I go there again? No. But not a big deal. Didn’t have any problems during my stay
Had high hopes for this place as it boasts a boutique vibe. But it falls short in almost every way...
First the good points, all of the young people at the front desk were very nice. The bed was large and comfortable. The food, restaurant, and cortyard are also nice.
Now for the bad...
Be prepared for the ENTIRE bathroom to be wet! Their is no bath tub (or microwave), and the odd shower space lets water get out everywhere. Even though the water pressure is terribly weak and feels like nothing.
We stayed for 4 weeks, and almost every night, there was someone smoking weed and making noise at night. I am allergic to weed, so I called the front dest many times to have someone keep watch. They told me that they would do so, but it never actually happened. So we decided to change rooms halfway through the stay.
Both of these rooms were lacking in any shower water pressure. The walls are thin. Both blow dryers were covered finger prints as if they had NEVER been cleaned.
The walls are just gross... The cleaning ladies don't speak English, so I ended up cleaning our bathroom walls myself. There were pee drops all over the walls near the toilet, it was super NASTY!!! And what looks like snot on the wall by the bed.
The headboard and the chairs also look to be covered in smudges from other guests. All of the cut corners in the cleaning makes me wonder if they even clean the top bedding...
It's just not that great here. Feels like they skimp on a lot and don't really care to fix anything.
This is Motel quality. It is NOT a boutique hotel good for long-term stays as it was advertised... very disappointing.
You can tell the place is old but it is kept up somewhat. Half of the plugs in the room didn’t work but there are plenty of other plugs so it compensates kind of? One of the guys at the front desk was kind of rude when i called asking how i would be able to heat my food up without a microwave in the room. He just told me to give it to an employee at the restaurant and they would heat it up for me and then just hung up the phone before i could say anything. The location is close to everything. The restaurant seems to be very popular so there’s no “good” parking spaces during the dinner rush.
Their courtyard is very cute with pool, bar and outdoor restaurant sittings, and we have been coming here a lot for both food and stay.
However the room we had last week was not so pleasant- the heater was extremely dusty and smelly when turned on. My husband is allergic to dust and it kept him sneezing and had stuffy nose. I'm not allergic to dust myself but it even made my sneeze caz it was so bad. We could not use the heater on the second night and it was very cold at night.
We told the front desk but they didn't do anything and didn't seem to care.
The room was very big and had a big couch in it which was nice, but the bed itself was not very comfortable and the pillows were tiny! So strange.
Truly wish they could clean the heaters up and upgrade their bed and pillows a bit. It'll make it much more comfortable and delightful to stay
I had much higher hopes for this that what we actually experienced. This seems like a neat place in a good location with a nice restaurant, but the actual hotel leave much to be desired. Our room had stained curtains, a bathroom desperately in need of repairs and painting, and a noisy air conditioner. The beds were decently comfortable but the sheets were the oddest rough texture. The pool was decent and Gabe/Gabriel at the front desk was very nice during check-in. For the price we paid, I feel like we could have done much better.
Good afternoon. We stayed at your hotel in Santa Barbara from 02/10/2023 to 03/10/2023 for one night and were charged a $150 deposit which has still not been refunded. When checking out from the hotel, we were assured that the deposit would be returned within two days. When can I get my deposit back? My bank assistant said that the bank has nothing to do with returning the deposit. I ask you to return the deposit as soon as possible.
The receptionist Nicole Huang was super sweet and helpful. She gave details on the room before we stayed and was very attentive. She also shared valuable insights on the school she attended, which happened to be the school my daughter expressed an interest in attending. Her service was exceptional and made our stay truly memorable.

We loved our stay here! The manager/owner gave us great recommendations on hikes in the area! The location is perfect and walkable into town but quiet in the evenings. The room was perfect. We used their complementary bikes to ride to the butterfly b

The best F45 I've been to. Class was packed with almost 50 members. All the coaches, specifically Coach Katrina, found time to motivate and challenge me through one of the best workouts I've had in months.
