What a beautiful old building with modern conveniences. Self check in and out were seamless. We were pleased that many restaurants and shops were all within walking distance. Staff was great and did a fantastic job cleaning. Cooper was the best host answering any questions we had. We appreciated him contacting us before we arrived, during our stay, and after we departed.
We had an absolutely fantastic time at Leland House! The service was exceptional, and the room was impeccably clean and modern. The front patio had delightful seating arrangements that added a touch of fun to our stay. Plus, we were delighted to receive tokens for complimentary drinks at the neighboring establishment. Without a doubt, we will be returning in the future.

Upon arrival, I was greeted with a personalized handwritten note, a basket of fresh fruit, drink tokens to Lola’s Place next door (must see!), and a vase of beautiful flowers—a testament to the hotel's dedication to making every guest feel special and valued from the very first moment. These small touches set the tone for what was to be an extraordinary stay.
Stepping into my room, I was immediately struck by the seamless blend of historic charm and modern comfort. The walls adorned with historic photos of Durango provided a fascinating glimpse into Durango’s rich past, complementing the tasteful decor. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the carefully curated furnishings to the soothing color palette.
The bed, oh the bed! It was not just a place to sleep, but a sanctuary of relaxation. The linens were soft and inviting, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring.
Throughout my stay, the service was prompt, attentive, and genuinely caring. Whether I needed recommendations for dining or assistance with arrangements, the staff at Leland House went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Their passion for hospitality was palpable and made me feel like a cherished guest rather than just a visitor.
All in all, Leland House exceeded all my expectations. I can’t wait for my next visit.
Leland House provided a great service. It was raining when we arrived and they met us at the door with umbrellas and helped us unload. The room was ready when we areived and we arrived to a hand written note, 2 drink coins and oranges that my son's were excited about. The location was great and close to shopping and great eating. We would stay again when we come back.
We had a wonderful stay here this weekend. Cooper did a fantastic job taking care of us- there were so many thoughtful touches that left us feeling cared for.
The location is perfect for walking anywhere downtown. Beds were comfy, amenities are good, and Lola’s next store is amazing for coffee, cocktails, or a meal- try the veggie egg rolls and the nachos.
There’s not a better place to stay in Durango!
Yall. This is the spot. I cannot remember ever feeling more immediately at home that I did last weekend while staying here at Leland. The location is right in the heart of downtown Durango, walkable from anywhere, and right next door to the coolest little bar/food truck spot--they even left drink tokens waiting for us when we checked in! It was so nice going straight over for a cocktail and burrito (get the pastor burrito at Lola's next door!) after we arrived and before we explored town. Also, fresh flowers in our room?!?!?! Who does that!?! What a treat. Take some time to check out all the photos they have about the place, too Really neat to see old timey Durango represented in such a historic building.
Our room was SUPER clean with very modern updates, cool, and quiet as can be. The bed was a dream, and our usually-anxious 11month old puppy seemed right at home off the bat, too.
Dom was extremely attentive to our needs, answering questions, and really made us feel seen and valued.
I really can't recommend this place enough. Was temped to stay at the name brand hotel down the road but I am SO GLAD we didn't and checked this place out instead.

We called with a last minute reservation (noon, for same night room) and Alec was super helpful getting us set up. Check in was seamless and the room was ready for us. They even set up a pet bed with a card with our dog’s name on it and some treats on it (photo attached). There was also a hand-written greeting card for us. Walk to main street and tons of shops and restaurants. Great climate control with central air (no big noisy under-window unit). We all slept like logs and woke up refreshed.
This place was amazing! The communication, ease, parking, location, and all the special things in the apartment were top notch! There is hand soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, paper towels. The fridge is super, and the kitchen has a 2 burner stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker. They provide salt pepper, ground coffee, hot tea! The bed was amazing! The furnishings were lovely. You will be happy to stay here!
This location was perfect, clean and well stocked. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious thank you Brenda, We loved all the breakfast options. I must say we travel a lot and this is the first time I slept in any hote
Very clean hotel that does accept animals. I have stayed hear 2 times and each time was satisfying. A bit better on the pocket book considering the neighboring hotels. Acces to a river walk too. Your only 5 minutes from downtown!
