We absolutely love this place. We’ve been coming since the early 80s and I can’t imagine. Not liking it here. It’s very family oriented. They have lots of activities and our rooms are always spotless.. if you want, hustle and bustle, go to the beach and pay a lot more for your stay. It doesn’t take us long to go to Fort Myers Beach and hang out for the day. But we love the feel of family here.
We decided to travel prior to Christmas, we usually visit in the summer. We brought our exchange student and enjoyed games at the resort: pickle ball, shuffle board, and corn hole, shopping at Miramar Outlets, an|| airboat ride about 30 minutes away at Airboats and Alligators, Ford and Edison's winter home and a beautiful light display, we tried Gator 4 ways at Gator Bites Tail and Ale, and a quick trip to view the manatees at Manitee Park. Most of these destinations were within 30 to 45 minutes of the resort, based on traffic. Usually we stay at the resort enjoy the golf, pool and games. This week was a little cool, so the pool was out for us and we investigated the area and had a wonderful time. This resort is extremely friendly and fun! As we discovered this week, we can have fun in the area too.
We had the best vacation at Lehigh Resort. They had so many activities to do each day, that we could have spent the entire week there, without ever leaving the resort. The staff was amazing and helpful. The resort had the best fitness workout room, a well stocked library and a indoor and outdoor shuffle-board court. We also played pickle on their pickle board courts. The rooms were perfect. Loved how soft the bed was...like sleeping on a marshmallow bed! We will definitely be back next year.
The golf course was easily accessed did not even have to drive our car. The cost was $14.00 a person for 9 holes that came with the cart (for 2) The course was very nice. There were a large number of other amenities available to sign out at no charge. The was a $30 amenity fee for the whole week, but that was very reasonable considering what was available. Overall this was not a fancy resort but it had everything you needed and was staffed with very nice people that worked real hard to make everyone's stay great.
Everyone was very friendly, staff and other residents. Nice grounds, on site golf course was nice and for only 20 dollars for 9 holes, well worth it. Huge pool and lots of activities. Some geared toward the older crowd but plenty to do for kids too. Not very close to beaches but that made it better, locals were friendly and not too "touristy" of an area, small town feel which was awesome.
This resort was a total disaster. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I experience food poison after eating from the restaurant on the property. I was told by a staff member there was a alligator not to far from this resort who had babies she was protecting. That made me afraid to even open the doors or even the window curtains. I had to cut my vacation short and return home due to this resort was gross among other negative things that I could say..but trust me when I say this was a trip from HELL!
Excellent experience. Beautiful resort, friendly staff, including well maintained golf course. Clearly a diamond in the rough. A great place to bring family and participate in the many activities provided by the resort.
