Lefty's Pizza Kitchen - Pizza restaurant in Wilmette - 1156 Central Ave, USA

I love Pequod's so when I heard we had a place on the North Shore that was similar I was definitely intrigued. But also definitely skeptical. It's a small joint with zero atmosphere so it didn't look promising. But man oh man, the crust does not lie. Another reviewer called out the sausage and I have to agree. That might have been the best sausage deep dish that I've ever had. I almost wish my stomach were bigger so that I could have had a third slice. I can't wait for summer so I can truly enjoy a pizza on the sidewalk, something you could never do at Pequod's.

We were in Chicago for a week traveling from California and decided to stop and eat at Lefty’s. We were not expecting much but we were blown away by the pizza we ordered! By FAR the BEST pizza we’ve had in our lives. Our server was an older gentleman but he was so kind and made sure we were well taken care of. We’re seriously considering making another trip out to Chicago just to try this pizza again. I was kind of heart broken to find that there isn’t a location in CA. I would definitely recommend this dinner to anyone!

Delicious. Carmelized deep dish crust. The crusty deep dish edges are on purpose, it's packed with amazing flavor! Very attentive service. Really good buttery thin crust too.

Lefty's in the best in town. Skip Lou's and get the Italian Beef and Giardinara from here. Fresh tomato sauce is sweet with the perfect blend of I-talian seasoning. They missed the beef on our order and made it right! Good people, better food, great neighborhood joint.

I ordered a pizza delivery and it was taken home by someone other than myself. John was kind enough to remake my order for pick up at no additional charge. Thanks again John!

Just had the thin crust pizza last night after a long wait! Definitely better than expected. So much flavor packed in every bite! Don’t go to Lou mal, or Giordanos. This will be my new favorite go to! I didn’t event try the infamous pan yet that’s comparable to Burt’s. Can’t wait to go back!

This place has been the best pizza in Chicago. Their caramel crust on their pan pizza is crisp, chewy and flavorful. Their sauce has the right balance and is not too acidic and doesn’t taste like it came from a can. It’s a little on the pricey side, but well worth it! I have to drive 25 minutes to get there— it is that good! You won’t be disappointed!
