Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum - Museum in Leavenworth - 735 Front St, USA

Absolutely fascinating! I never knew there were so many different variations and cultures around nut crackers. I truthfully expected to walk into a bunch of Christmas theme style nut smashers but man was I smashingly surprised when I found all different kinds of nut destroyers! I mean….they had a guillotine nut smasher and large hammer Thor like God nut crusher! The attention the attendants had in respectfully removing these nut gobblers was cool to watch too. You can see they take a lot of pride in this museum. I also wrote this review with a more funny tone to give everyone a smile because some of these reviews are people that seriously need to lighten up and enjoy some nut smashing chaos!

Definitely a must see if you’re in Leavenworth. The amount of nutcrackers was a bit overwhelming, there’s a lot. We had a great time, I enjoyed all of the vintage pieces and it was great to visit during the holidays.

For a mere $5 you van visit the nutcracker museum in Leavenworth. It's 9,000 nutcrackers on display as well info on the artists and history of the nutcracker. There are only 2 certified museums in the WORLD!! Here in Leavenworth and in Germany. There are many many private and personal collections, but they do not count for this prestigious acknowledgement. A few years back they gained their Guiness world record! I definitely recommend checking this out!

All I can say is that the Nutcracker museum is NUTS and AMAZING. If there is one must see museum in Leavenworth worth visiting, it is the Nutcracker museum. There is just so much stuff. Imagination's gone wild with all of the different kinds, types and designs of the nutcrackers. The museum is conveniently located at the heart of Leavenworth shops. You can breeze through it in 30 minutes but I recommend about an hour.

Gets BUSY, so I suggest going earlier in the day! There are over 9000 nutcrackers on display! Definitely watch the video playing in a room right next to where you pay/enter the museum. It tells the history of the nutcracker and gives great information to know for when you look at the collection. Cute and a tad overwhelming, but glad we visited!

This is a one of kind experience, very unique and highly worth checking out if you own nutcrackers or have an interest in them. There is an incredible amount of nutcrackers here, there is two floors and a room where you could learn about the history of nutcrackers. There was a cute little gift shop at the entrance. Definitely worth checking it out!

Wonderful collection! Fascinating. I'd never realized how many types of nutcrackers there are. The creativity that goes into the design, carving, & decorating of the wooden nutcrackers is impressive.

This is a great place to bring the family. There is so much history to view and learn about, plus a scavenger hunt for children of all ages. Military - active duty and family are free. $5.00 for an adult.
