LEANTO | Camp Orcas - Featured Reviews (15)
We had a great weekend camping with friends. The campsite was a 2min walk from our car and the Moran St Park bathrooms / showers (very clean!). It was private without the feeling remote. The tents felt new and the site was stocked with all the camping gear necessities. We loved our stay and hope to be back!
The tent and site were very clean . The staff was welcoming. I felt I had privacy and also felt safe. It got me outdoors when I am.beyond tent camping. There was a birn ban so I was supplied a forepit propane stove which I actually preferred environmentally and for ease. I will return to Leanto! The glamping and Moran state park were both a hit!!
Lean to at Moran State Park was amazing! The tent, a real bed, a cozy fire pit, and amazing scenery. Clean, clean, clean, too! We’re already planning our trip back next summer. I was so sad to leave our camp site! Leanto was amazing!
We have camped on Orcas Island many times but nothing compares to staying with Leanto. Located in the South end camping sites of Moran State Park these glamping tents are fantastic. From the queen bed complete with fluffy duvet to the coffee service in the morning the whole experience is amazing. We have stayed here numerous times and it just gets better. Scott and Lauren have thought of every detail a glamour could need so just get on a ferry and get ready for an adventure!
This is the best alternative to camping. We are campers but on this trip to Orcas for various reasons, we were not able to camp this year. Now we just want to glamp with Leanto. The had us outfitted with just about everything we needed. The tents are spacious, and the beds are as comfortable as a 5* hotel. Also, the coffee delivery in the morning is a great touch. We were able to sit out on the Adirondack chairs provided and watch the beautiful lake. Skip the Arbnb and glamp with Leanto. If you MUST have a private bathroom, this is probably not the place for you.
This little gem located on beautiful Orcas Island was just perfect. It's tucked into a semi private area in Moran State Park, away from the majority of tent campers and is quiet, yet close to trails and bathroom facilities and sits right on a lake. Deer regularly wonder into the park, as there are no predators on the island. The tent setup was awesome! Campfire evey night, cooking on the Coleman stove we got as an add on service, which they provide. Smores galore! They really thought of every detail to make our stay comfortable and we loved every minute of it. Will definitely be back
I'm hesitant to write a review because I don't want this place to get so popular that I can't get in! We went over MDW and had a fantastic weekend. The beds are SO comfortable and warm, the bathrooms/showers are clean, the location is unbeatable, the staff was helpful and friendly. I don't have any complaints. ||||Recommendations:||-We added on the cook top stove which made cooking so much easier.||-There is a short, but steep hill from the parking area/bathrooms up to the campsites. This wasn't a problem for us (our 3 year old daughter was fine with it too), but sharing as an FYI.||-There are a few hikes from the campground. We did the 1 mile hike to the Cascade Waterfalls. Perfect length and terrain for hiking with a child.||-Cascade Lake park made a great afternoon destination. Short drive from the campsite and lots to do - boat rentals, park, ice cream/coffee stand.
I have never glamped prior to this, and it will be really difficult to go normal 'camping' again! The experience was fantastic! The staff was extremely kind, courteous, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Each glamping camp site is somewhat private, yet not too far from the restroom/shower. There are trash/recycle bins, water faucets, sinks all nearby as well. Lots of wildlife sightings and epic lake pictures. I definitely recommend Leanto.

My partner and I had a lovely time in the Doe Re Mi cabin at Doe Bay resort in the last week of January. The cabin was cozy and had a gorgeous view of the water. The soaking tubs were divine and restorative. The open mic at the cafe was full of songs
