This French bakery is as close as you can get to Paris without leaving Ohio! The owner kept the place open on Christmas day at the request of some customers, and I was lucky enough to visit before heading home. As soon as I entered I was greeted by the owner and welcomed inside. The selection was limited due to the impromptu holiday hours but was hardly lacking in delicious choices. I left with far more than I intended to buy, especially at the very reasonable prices on everything. After answering my questions and packing away everything I requested the owner got me one of the best peach teas I've ever had in a to-go cup and I was off to surprise my family with unexpected Christmas desserts. My only complaint is I wish the bakery were closer to home so I could frequent it more often. Thanks and we'll see you again soon!
How is this French bakery not full with customers? I've only had eclair, choux-a-la-creme (cream puff) and two of their danishes so far but all of them were delicious. I'll have to go back and get more pastries.
As a French American I have to say this place is a hidden Gem, I’m so happy it’s here! I have tried all the French restaurants bistros cafes and bakeries Columbus has to offer and None compare to the authentic taste Le Vieux Lyon recreates. I tried it for the first time Sunday Morning and was so impressed they have found a lifelong customer in me. The Woman working was so incredibly nice and after hearing about my family being born in France she even gave me a free item. Amazing customer service and amazing food and imported retail goodies
The family is always so gracious and kind. Their bakery always smells amazing whenever i visit… the atmosphere is always welcoming and warm.. and their fruit tart is on another level!!
Excellent in person service and delicious pastries and bread. If I need an advance order I would call one in to make sure the bakery can accommodate as online order confirmation doesn't necessarily mean order will be ready when you select your date and time I highly recommend the almond pear cake, bread, and savory puff pastries. Prices very reasonable, most items between $3-4. Have paid much more for French bakery items of this quality at other bakeries...this place is a great find! *updated to say BEST bread in Columbus, having tried many bakeries including at North Market!
Went to Le Vieux for the first time today and I am so happy that I found this gem! We got plain croissants, lemon tea, and caramel tea. The croissants were so delicious and fresh! Their teas are imported from France and were also delightful, especially the lemon tea! There was plenty of seating. The family who owns the bakery is extremely kind and took the time to explain the different menu items to us! We were there at around ~11am on a Saturday. Many of their items appeared to be sold out already, since the selection was a bit smaller than I had expected based on other reviewers’ Google photos. I think this goes to show how much people love the food here! Next time, I will try to come a little earlier in the day! I highly recommend this business and would definitely make the drive to Reynoldsburg to try more of their pastries and teas! ☺️
I have been visiting this place since it's opening. The quality of their pastries is great. However, their hours have been limited. Today I was excited to find it open on a Thursday morning. The place was practically empty. I wanted to order two pastries to go, but the attendant could not figure out how to operate the register and I left empty handed. The attendant seemed totally at a loss when trying to provide sugar for the two seated customers. I want to love thisplace and return. I like supporting local business, but the service needs to there.
The family working here is so sweet and kind and the pastries are INCREDIBLE!! I have a ridiculous sweet tooth, so I expected that the Nutella croissant or chocolate pastries would be my favorite. I was completely taken aback when I tried the creamy spinach pastry and FELL IN LOVE. The texture was so flaky and the flavor was on point...almost like spinach dip! I ate the entire thing while my fiancé filled his coffee cup and there wasn't a bite left for him to try it 😆 Everything was delicious, but I'll be coming back specifically for those savory pastries!! ❤️

Family Italian restaurant on 256 and Livingston Rd. One of our favorites! So good. We always enjoy our meal. Located at the west end of a strip center. Plenty of parking available. Prices very reasonable.
This is one of two very solid local coffee shops I've discovered in Pickerington. Most of the drinks come hot, iced, or frozen, and they have all the essentials. The frozen mocha (with almond milk) was quite tasty, sweet, but not overwhelming -- it w
