Le Souk - Middle Eastern restaurant in Montclair - 51 Watchung Plaza, USA

Le Souk felt like I was enjoying a meal in someone's home in Syria. Soft, Middle Eastern guitar melodies played in the background as I enjoyed my food. The restaurant was decorated with a myriad of artistic knickknacks. My server was polite, and they came to check in throughout my time there. I took advantage of the 4 appetizers for $30 deal as I was not super hungry. I ordered their beet salad, falafel waffle, stuffed grape leaves, and stuffed kebeh. I intended on ordering the dandelion greens, but they were not available, which was disappointing. The food I did receive, though, was a nice window into their menu. The stuffed kebeh was my favorite, a nice crispy shell with a nutty flavor, juicy ground beef inside, with just a little pomegranate syrup to add a bit of tangy sweetness. I'd love to come back and try some of their sandwiches or an entree in the future. Thanks for the food!

This place has real home made middle eastern dishes. Stuffed kebehs were just above of highest expectations: crispy on the outside and super juicy with smell and taste of tender ground beef with various middle eastern spices. Hummus and falafel were stellar. For the main we had beef shawarma. I don’t know how they have achieved the result, but the meet literally melted after a bite.

Pretty little place, great service, tasty food. Tiny bathroom. Didnt find traditional Moroccan dishes on the menu, but food was still pretty good. Dessert was disappointing, tiny cookies and baklava were the only options, but the mint tea was a great end to the meal.

I had dinner with my two adult kids last night; one WAS NOT a fan of middle eastern fare. She is now!!!! Everything was so delicious. Each of us had a different chicken dish. I can't tell you which was the best because they were all THAT good. The chicken was perfectly cooked in all three . Grape Leaves is an absolute must. The atmosphere so cozy. Staff and owner incredibly friendly and accommodating. My new go-to for a cozy, eat-in place!

Wonderful decor, soothing music, delicious flavors of homemade and great quality food. The women working there was super sweet and answered any questions me and my lover had. Fast service and efficient business. This makes me want to try out more Middle Eastern restaurants. Vegan and vegetarian options here. I loved this place and would love to come back here.

Such a cute little place! It's so beautiful inside. The food is sooo delicious. Arab here , I know good Arab food 🥰. The muhhamara is the best I had. The mousakka is amazing too. (It's not be Greek one!) The labneh is amazing as well. The service was super friendly and fantastic too. I definitely will be coming back!

I stumbled on this place a year ago and now travel over an hour to visit. The service is excellent. The decor and ambiance are absolutely beautiful. As an Egyptian, I find the food to be authentic and super yummy!! Will continue to return!! Thank you for such a pleasant lunch

Here is wonderful, delicious Syrian food, beautifully prepared, attentively, served in a very pleasant environment. This is a tiny Restaurant, with only a few tables and walls of Syrian folk crafts and knickknacks on sale. It appears to be family operated, and our waiter was a very pleasant and knowledgeable young person who took their time in explaining carefully unfamiliar dishes. I love this place and I’m going to become a regular.
