I love this hotel! Right in the French Quarter. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were beautiful. They were so grand and so large that thing was is when you walked outside you not only had a nice couple of chairs and I table, but you were able to walk around the balcony from the third floor that was it was pretty cool.

Hotel is in the French Quarter and a nice walk to Frenchman's Street and the Farmers Market. ||Rooms: The rooms on the ground floor are not as nice as the upperfloors, so you will have to pay more for the nicer rooms. The service we booked with only covered the ground floor rooms. We paid for an upgrade which was worth it. Rooms on 3rd floor and ground floor are NOT comparable. All rooms (including ground floor) have good quality air-conditioning. The ground floor room was small and the bathroom also cramped and looked as if the water would flow into the room and a view directly into the dirty street with windows open anyone could look in. The room on the 3rd floor we paid extra for was worth the money and it included a private balcony which we used frequently with a lovely view over the French Quarter. It also was roomier and the bathroom much better equipt with a real stop for the water when you shower. A huge difference in room even without the balcony. Our ranking of the hotel would be very different had we kept the ground floor room. Fortunately there was no problem upgrading as long as we were willing to pay a reasonable upgrade fee. They difference would have been an unhappy stay into a very pleasant one. ||Parking: You do have to pay for parking around $50 a night but this is average for New Orleans. ||Hotel Staff: The entry to the hotel was also nice and staff was very helpful - including helping organize trips in the city. If you do this: take note - the hotel wants to you pay them cash for part of it. The tour organizers will accept card. | |Hotel Amenities: We were there during July and it was HOT during mid day. During the heat of the day there was lemon or orange infused water for the taking in the lobby. Air conditioning in the rooms was very good. Rooms also had ceiling fans. | The pool was AMAZING. They have very comfy lounge chairs for use for free and the water was nice a cool. Also they had jazz and similar music playing - not too loud - at the pool area so you really felt like you were in new orleans. It also looked very nice so you really felt you were on vacation. You can bring your own food (there are to go bodegas nearby) and eat on the pool side or in the covered area near the pool where also during morning hours unlimited coffee or tea is for the taking. ||Internet: Interent worked well without any issues.||New Orleans: Actually so much of New Orleans was cash only - so definately bring some cash because bank ATMs are hard to find so you would be reducded to using the atm provided in the lobby. I am unsure of the lobby atm fees.

Le Richelieu boasts a convenient and quiet location at the edge of the quarter and near Frenchmen Street, clean recently renovated rooms, and a pleasant and very helpful staff. There’s a big gated parking lot. The small pool was appreciated in the Louisiana summer heat, the pool side bar service even more. New high tech oscillating HVAC units in the rooms also made the summer heat bearable. The wrap around balcony from our rooms added a real NOLA feel. The front desk staff was very friendly, they began texting me after booking to make sure we had all the info and accommodations needed. Brittany was especially helpful. She called me directly about 30 minutes after we checked out, I’d left a bag of art prints in the room. Unfortunately we were already on 1-10 and couldn’t return. I emailed her a shipping label, she protected and boxed the prints up for me and I had them in a couple of days. What a nice experience!

Fantastic experience. Friendly staff, clean hotel, magnificent bar and pool! Located a few steps from Frenchman St. with many bars and live music. And just a short walking distance from all the live activity in Bourbon St. ||Could not have asked for a better experience!

Wonderful hotel experienced! The room design was appropriate to the hotel and understated but elegant. I'm used to a lot of color and design. This was the opposite but it worked. I felt like I was in Europe. The staff were outstanding. The front desk staff: Brittany, Tyler, Evangela. Always kind and helpful. Friendly. The bartender, I believe his name was Brian, was outstanding. Such a peaceful and kind soul. You can feel the respect and appreciation the staff has for the patrons and their work. The balcony view made me feel like I was living in New Orleans. I loved the pool area also. We sat out there every night with our drinks enjoying conversation or just relaxing with out visitors. I will definitely stay here again when I return around Christmas! Price was also great as well. They do not have a restaurant within but there are many great eats within walking distance.

First visit to the French Quarter and the hotel was very quaint. We stayed in a king with a balcony and could not have been happier. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. Loved the pool and where it's located very secluded. My only complaint is the parking price of 45 extra a night when you don't have an option to park anywhere else so I paid because I wanted to be safe from the street.

The room is clean and big. The remodel is nice. We enjoyed the pool. They only have a bar now, but they are supposed to have food soon. The bathroom only has one sink. It is an easy walk to the French Market and the French Quarter. It was very quiet in August.

This is a wonderful boutique, hotel really Close to Frenchmen Street and walking distance to all the action on Bourbon Street. The staff is great, especially Tyler who helped us the first day and really got us acclimated to New Orleans. The rooms are big. The balcony was wonderful and the courtyard swimming pool was a great place to relax before we went out and discovered more of New Orleans.
