10/10 highly recommend —This hostel is a gem! Located only 10 mins away from LAX. The bathrooms and rooms are very clean and up to date.(which was a plus for me). They have both private rooms and shared spaces. The owner and staff were really nice! And as a solo traveler I felt safe here. Would definitely book again.
Booked online with expedia 24 hrs prior still had not received correspondence went by location couldnt get any help. Reached out to expedia and my cc company to dispute and told both i would give until 2 hrs before checkin if i heard nothing back it would be breach of contract and a refund would have to be issued. We decided to text the number vs calling and boom we got the check in info with code. We had a private room off of a shared room upstairs. Room was clean and cute well lit and i had no complaints. Decarlo was nice and hospitable and we had no issues. We stayed 3 nights. When we went to checkout we couldnt find anyone so left the key with a note and text the number. Its not good for family travel but individual/ couple trips its convenient and cheap.
This place has extreme human traffic. Failed to accommodate patrons when already booked through reservations. The so called 'owner' threatened unprofessionally with profanity, physical violence when overbooked patrons could not access their pre-paid room and asked for refund...Pictures are outdated and do not represent the real living situations of cramped shared bunks where they fit 10 people in one room. Would not recommend. The city of Inglewood needs to crack down. Beware...
We had a great stay the staff was so inviting the room was clean and the atmosphere was great. I talked with the staff they shared their food and advice on the area they made my girlfriend and I feel very welcomed. We will be continuing are stay here we love it so much
Firstly, it was not easy to find at night.. NO SIGNS! No T.V. Just a bed and chair..
This IS just a hostile.. check-in guy was nice enough and in his car out front. Very hard to find parking on narrow street.
The good things are: Very clean, updated floors, decor, washer, dryer, eating area, microwave, wifi..
Just fine for $45 so for price it gets four stars and a no frills clean bed to sleep in.
The place was overbooked and a big man drinking alcohol and smoking pushed me out. Worst experience of my life.
Absolutely a joke!
They guys managing the place enter your room and steal your things from bag
They took 1 coffe , chocolates
And MY PASSPORT
I'm stuck in 🇺🇸 for days to make a new one
No answer by phone, message
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
I do NOT recommend this guesthouse unless absolutely necessary. I stayed one night at the LAX Guesthouse on August 30 in order to catch an early-morning flight the next day. When I made the online booking earlier that day, there was just one bed left. When I arrived at the hostel in the afternoon, I immediately noticed an odor permeating the two-floor structure. It smelled like a combination of urine & laundry soap. (When I complained about the smell later, the staff claimed they couldn't smell anything, but this is ridiculous.) I checked in and was led to Room #3 on the 1st floor. The room was crammed with 3 bunk beds for six people. There was little space to move around. Towels and sheets are provided. There was no air-conditioning in the room, only one window. Unfortunately, directly outside the window is an outdoor space for guests, so it can be a bit noisy if there are people chatting outside (and there were). Although there is some shelving in the room, there is no lock-box for valuables of any kind, nor did the room door have a lock on it. Basically, apart from the front door, the hostel has no security. Other guests have complete access to your stuff. In the doorway of Room #3 sat a large oscillator fan, which was constantly on and set at maximum. It was either used for ventilation or to reduce the foul smell of urine/laundry soap. The fan is LOUD. It sounded like a small airplane propellor. Bring your ear plugs! (When I tried to lower the setting of the fan before bedtime, another guest in the room (who was very drunk!) turned it back up to maximum. I later learned that this guest also worked at the hostel. (It seems the staff also stay there, and they have all the power.) There was one bathroom/shower on the first floor and one on the second floor. No soap or shampoo is provided. However, in the morning, there was NO HOT WATER. There was also a dead cockroach on the floor of the bathroom. In short, although the beds at the hostel are cheap, you have to deal with the noise, terrible smell, and indifferent service. Frankly, I'm surprised this place is licensed to operate.
