Great for hiking walking biking or lake loops. Road gets narrower on the bridge and beware of the loud local ducks patrolling the area. Great view of the capitol, lake and on a clear day, enjoyable.
Law Park is a parkway for pedestrians, bicyclists, runners along Lake Monona through the isthmus in downtown Madison. Fishing pier. Bike path. Benches to take in the scenery. Water Ski team on seasonal Sundays. No parking available, law parks there.
The frozen lake.... easy access with some free Saturday parking, then able to walk out onto the frozen lake from the boat slip. Access in and out of the parking was the hardest part!! Watch for cyclists if walking... the bike trail is steady traffic 😀
Great little park. The perfect jumping of point for many adventures. Sits on lake shore path, right near Monona Terrace on the west, and machinery row bike shop on the east. Free parking after 6 and on the weekends.
Great view and vibe if you can ignore the clown show of noise and fury known as Madison drivers on John Nolen right behind you. Right next to the Terrace and their public elevators for easy access to Wilson St and the Capitol. Not a whole lot of space for anything like picnics, but on your own its a nice space to relax after a long day. Ducks and loons often hang out nearby, if you don't have your own animal companion. Please don't feed them...
An excellent view of downtown Madison with a great bike path. Views for days. A great spot for one to see the lake front from a distance.
Got tickets to watch Shake the Lake. There was food, drinks, and private seating. The only problem was the trees that blocked the lake. But, I found a spot that was perfect for the show. Watching all the boats lining up on the lake, the lights, and the fireworks was another beautiful night in Madison.
If you want to spend your evening around the lake then this is the place right in the heart of madison. It on the lake Monona shore path. Provides space for sitting with some picnic tables. We like this place to just sit and stare at Monona lake waters.
Great place to just relax and fish! Clean atmosphere and great views. I couldn't find any bathrooms nearby. I am not from around this area so, not sure where they're found. Overall, it's an awesome spot to distress!
Disc golf review. By no fault of its own, my only complaint is the distance this course is from home. Well worth the 90 minute drive if you plan to play a few rounds. The course is built on a hill and your first concrete tee shot it looking up into a
Really big park tucked backed in the Far East side of Madison. Has a variety of paths or trails through wooden areas and in small creek prairie area. Really nice newer playground equipment, 2 bball courts, and 2 full sized soccer fields! Some really
Awesome spot for pictures, rock hounding, neat driftwood specimens, picnicking, dipping your toes in the water, and slowing down to remember how beautiful the simple things in life are. It's one of my favorite places in a city full of gems. I swear,
I came to the skatepark to teach my nine-year-old twins to skate, everybody at this place was so welcoming and cool. They made my kids feel right at home, the skate park itself is badass! Zero complaints, everything is perfect! Can't say enough good
I am obviously biased as this park is in my backyard, but the new park shelter and playground are amazing. It is such a joy to have this in our neighborhood. We also helped get the Community Garden going this year, which was an incredible addition
A nice little park hiding only a couple blocks off Cottage Grove Road. A play area with swings, slide and climbing toys; also a large field for baseball, soccer, frisbee, etc. There's a medium sized pavillion with picnic tables, and a small (2- door
