Lavender Inn by the Sea - Hotel in Santa Barbara - 206 Castillo St, USA

This was a 2 night stay at the end of our California road trip and this was a clean and comfortable small 3* hotel in a good location. We parked outside of the room and it was only a 10 min walk to the coast so once we arrived we didn’t need to use the car until we left. The hotel is on a busy road but we were set back and weren’t troubled by road noise. |We were provided with a map of Santa Barbara and given good advice on where to go for meals and sight seeing. |The breakfast was continental and there was plenty of choice. The dining area was clean and food and drinks constantly replenished by friendly staff. |Free afternoon drinks and food were provided as part of the “happy hour”. |We used the pool and it was a chance to relax in pleasant surroundings.

This is a fantastic hotel! Friendly staff, great location, clean and well appointed rooms. We were spoiled by a continental breakfast and happy hour, and a wonderful champagne surprise when we checked in! The hotel is close to the beach and only a few blocks from State Street. We had a car but we didn't need to use it as everything (beach, restaurants, store, etc) was easily within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

After much deliberation, my husband and I chose to stay one night at Lavender Inn by the Sea. We did a little road trip down the coast and wanted to see Santa Barbara. This little hotel/motel is not fancy. It doesn't have amazing amenities. It does have lovely touches that make it a great choice. Happy Hour consisted of complimentary wine and cheese plus breakfast had several nice items to choose from. The staff member at the desk when we checked in was pleasant and helpful. Our room was perfect for a one-night stay.

Perfect name for this quaint bed and breakfast! Easy check Inn, the room was clean and had little lavendar sachets on the pillows. Comfortable mattress and soft sheets. Bikes and movies for rental, a pool we did not swim, it was on the cooler side. Very laid back atmosphere, would absolutely go back.

This was a wonderful place to stay and I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. The rooms are older, but well kept and the only real issue was the lack of plugs for charging your phone or other things. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay. The breakfast was fantastic and the evening cheese and wine was lovely. I loved all of it.

Of all the hotels I stayed at in California during a 12 day vacation, this was my FAVORITE hotel! It was within walking distance from the coast. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The lovely outdoor pool was a delight too. Best of all, there was a lovely little porch street side where they had tables to enjoy their evening charcuterie snacks and Sangria. Their breakfast was homemade croissants and fresh fruit, coffee and juices. All was included in the price of our room. Be sure to stay here if you are in need of accommodations in Santa Barbara! Did I mention how lovely the property was too with flowers and fountains?

I am OBSESSED with this inn! My boyfriend and I were traveling down the PCH and this was definitely our favorite inn we stayed at. The service was amazing, free bottle of champagne, happy hour and breakfast! The pool was a tad cold but also refreshing. Wonderful that they had towels ready at the pool for you to take. The courtyard is gorgeous and so relaxing. The inn is a few blocks away from the marina which is perfect. There were complementary bikes that made it easy to ride the beach and go down to state st. We only stayed here for one night but I wish it was longer. Will definitely be staying here again if we return to the area!

Such a sweet little place by the sea in Santa Barbara. The rooms are comfortable & clean, and a little lavender spray is left on your bedside table to spray your pillows. Upon arrival there is a bottle of champagne & water in the fridge. There is also a well appointed continental breakfast and wine in the afternoon. A sweet garden and pool complete this lovely inn.
