Lavender Inn - Bed & breakfast in Ojai - 210 E Matilija St, USA

Had the most amazing and peaceful experience at the Lavender Inn! I loved spending every morning with some fresh coffee & toast while sitting on the porch swing, soaking up the morning sunlight. The inn is close to all the shops and restaurants, which was a plus! I stayed in the Garden View room, which was spotless and very comfortable. The water pressure and temperature in the shower were perfection. In the garden, the cats (esp the black one, I think his name was Mister), was so sweet! This was a much needed staycation & I feel super rejuvenated after my time spent here. I can't wait to be back again soon 🤍 Thank you Beth and Buddy!

My sister and I recently stayed at the Inn and had a wonderful time. My only complaint would be the stuffiness in room 6. I utilized the fan that was provided but it didn't resolve the problem. I would suggest possibly installing an overhead fan. It would certainly lend itself to the quaintness of the decor.

Lovely room and garden, but no staff on site except for very limited hours. After 5pm if you want anything like a bit of ice, you’re out of luck and off to the shops. Narrow check in window limiting flexibility. Great location in the centre of town.

Thank you Beth and staff for doing such a wonderful job of making our Holiday Celebration such a special event for me and my friends. We all absolutely LOVED The Lavender Inn. Every one of the rooms was so charming, the beds were great, the location unbeatable, and the views beautiful. I'm sure you even provided the perfect weather for our two day visit! ||The Holiday decorations were absolutely stunning throughout the Inn and the Cottage! In fact, I have to find one of those adorable lighted Xmas trees that you have in the cottage for my own home! I have been showing pictures of the gang in front of the living room fireplace to other friends and family, and a few have asked me where it was so they could rent the room! ||The breakfast scones were a big hit, along with the yogurt, granola, and berries! Everyone started their day happy and full with the breakfast. ||Again, thank you so much for making this the Best Holiday Event I have given in the past 35 years! I'm pretty sure we're going to be back next year, if you'll have us.|Happy Holidays to you and your Staff!|

I stayed at the Lavender Inn for my first trip to Ojai in August 2023 and absolutely loved it! The location is excellent, just a short walk to the main strip of shops and restaurants. The inn itself was quaint and enchanting- the garden and grounds are beautiful, perfect to sit outside and eat or read. Inside is totally charming- pretty decor, very clean, lots of places to sit and relax. We stayed in the tree top suite with a nice garden view and it was very peaceful. We didn't realize it was a shared bathroom, but it worked out fine. This inn is a nice, quiet retreat- look forward to coming back!

My boyfriend and I came up from L.A. to the Lavender Inn for a few days and it was a wonderful experience. Beth, the general manager, is incredibly kind and accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed, as well as giving us a great itinerary of things to do in Ojai. We stayed in the Pink Moment room which was beautiful and had a lovely window and porch. The bed and pillows were super cozy, and the room had some of the beautiful antique furniture that's found throughout the inn. |They provide breakfast with delicious pastries and a wine hour in the afternoon that's a treat. The inn also has a library and warm living room and just so many great places to relax!|The garden is gorgeous and I could have spent all day relaxing out there, with lovely chairs and the beautiful pond and flowers. And Oreo and Mister, the resident cats, are adorable and lovely companions in the backyard. |It was a fantastic experience and I can't wait to come back. You can even stay in the Cottage, which is a guesthouse attached to the inn, which is also a lovely experience. |Thank you Beth, Dillon, and everyone at the Inn for the delightful stay!

We enjoyed two nites at this charming inn. Pros: cute details make this inn so loveable. The rooms are sweet and nicely decorated. Fresh baked goods in the morning make the experience special. Everything was in walking distance with a market just across the street, literally 5 steps away. Air conditioning even though it was central was very good to cool down the rooms during the day. Things that can improve: better mattress, better cleaning outside in seating areas, some snacks to go with the wine would be great. I am an Inn person and that is why i prefer to stay at them and all the ones I stayed so far had some crackers and cheese with wine if not more. It is a good place to stay for a night.

This amazing retreat was the perfect hideaway for us trying to do a getaway/staycation! I have stayed here a couple of times in the cute rooms in the Inn, however my most recent trip I was able to stay in the cottage. OMG! I have to say, it was amazing! Not only was the service and food top notch, there is a private outdoor patio for my husband and I to have happy hour in the privacy of our own space. The grounds at the Lavender Inn are lovely, and I enjoy lounging outside, but to have your own private patio... over the top! The cottage was also so spacious and I felt like it was a home away from home! The staff at Lavender Inn were there to make sure we had everything we needed... and we did... I love my tea, and they made sure I had it. I love this little haven, walking distance to amazing restaurants, and shopping... and just 30 min from Ventura!
