An older place that has been well maintained. Everything was clean and worked as it should. The people were very friendly and helpful. The scenery was fantastic with a very family friendly atmosphere. Some of the rentals are two story with entrances from both side, and both are at ground level making it easy to pick the one that works best for the individual. Very nice kitchen area with a full kitchen and appliances or microwave for those in a hurry. I can see spending several more days here relaxing in the shade and viewing the scenery.
The staff is nice and the rooms are clean. The grounds are pretty. You will need to go the front desk to exchange your dirty towels for clean ones. You take your own trash out everyday. Our beds were too firm and uncomfortable for our liking.
Just got back home today. We LOVE this place!! It was like going back in time to the 1950’s before everything was commercialized in the Smokey’s. Our two-bedroom apartment was very clean and had a full eat-in kitchen, with accessories. The resort has a very nice, well maintained pool, beautiful mountain stream that runs out back, playground, multiple hammocks, wooded walking trails, shaded picnic area overlooking the stream, numerous brand new charcoal grills and much more. The grounds are kept up so nice, you would think you were in one of the park recreation areas. The staff are very friendly and were very helpful on recommendations on things to do and places to eat and not eat. Before we left I made reservations for this coming Halloween weekend. I CANT WAIT TO GET BACK TO LAUREL SPRINGS RESORT!!!
We stay here at least 1-2 times a year! Very clean and recently remodeled. We have family property near so it's nice to have a reasonable price addition and not bad of a drive to everything. Very accommodating!
Rooms were very nice and clean. Bath tub was actually a Jacuzzi tub/shower. You had to clime over about 3ft of the tub to get inside. Water pressure was horrible. Only complaint really. A couple of bugs but that's a given being the location. Nature trail located behind the building is neat. Trail is parallel to a small stream. Horseshoes are available to play. Resort was decorated nicely for the fall season. Location was great for visiting family near one of the RV/Camper resorts right down the road. Far from any dining though.
This could be a great family or romantic place. Very quiet and away from the crowds of Gatlinburg - but not too far. Good cell phone, cable TV, and wireless Internet reception. Downstairs bedroom private and easily accessible for 80 year old grandparents. Beautiful view out the back with creek and woods. Upstairs bedroom has steep stairs and not private (good for kids.)
Love the peaceful atmosphere and watching the creek from the rocking chairs on the porch. Cozy, comfortable rooms. And love the owners and staff!
We loved Laurel Springs. We went to the Smokies relax, hike and explore. Away from the crowds. The pool was nice and clean and all the other amenities we needed were in the mountains. Our room had a back porch that overlooked a beautiful stream. We had a one bedroom with loft that had another full bed, one and a half baths, fully equipped kitchen with everything we could need, living area with vaulted ceilings and fireplace. And a hot tub!! Perfect for relaxing after a full day of hiking, We went last september and are already planning a trip back in the spring. It is not a fancy resort but rustic, cozy and CLEAN. The staff was friendly and very helpful.
