L'Auberge Del Mar - Featured Reviews (1049)
From the moment I pulled in to the drive at the hotel and was greeted by the always friendly valet team, to the final "thank you for staying with us" from that same group of gentlemen, my stay was everything I needed and more. |Truly a gem, tucked away from the hustle and bustle (but in the middle at the same time), L'Auberge Del Mar is steps from the beach, shopping and dining. ||Stepping into the lobby with the amazing open concept takes you away to another place. There are several places to relax in the lobby and throughout the property which was nice during my week here--having a different place each day to enjoy a coffee or reply to emails, not just in my room. The terrace offers beautiful ocean views with just the right breeze to keep you cool on those hot days. The pool has ocean views, bar service, cabanas for rent, and a fire pit to sit by when the sun goes down. |Adelaide, the main restaurant, serves a wide range of options for breakfast lunch and dinner. The avocado toast, and crab tostada were my favorites. The lobby bar is large and inviting, and the cute coffee bar has everything you'll need to start your day (or anything you may have forgotten).||The room was large in size and had a great patio with a table and chairs (I stayed in a Cabana room) with fragrant flowers all around. It was clean and fresh, linens were soft and the bed was comfortable. I travel a lot and have to say they have the best towels I've seen in a hotel. AC worked well and kept the room comfortable on hot days. ||Thank you to Josh, TJ, Amy & Bailey who exemplified amazing service, and everyone else I encountered during my stay. ||I traveled solo for business, but I will definitely be bringing my family back for a long weekend getaway.
We nearly canceled our stay based on TripAdvisor reviews, but I'm so glad we didn’t! From the moment we entered this beautiful boutique hotel, we were welcomed by a stylish coastal ambiance, friendly staff, and a lovely scent.||||Our Village King room reflected the hotel's coastal aesthetic, featuring plantation shutters and a cozy balcony with partial ocean views. It was quiet, and the bed was very comfortable.||||On our first night, we dined at the hotel restaurant, Adelaide, enjoying a massive ribeye and a bottle of wine while watching the stunning sunset. Our meal took over 90 minutes to arrive, but the quality of food and ambiance made up for it. I’ve suggested the hotel improve service speed, but breakfast was much quicker—definitely try the egg white frittata!||||The pool area was nice, complete with a bar, loungers, and ocean views, though drinks took a while to arrive there too. The beach was just a short walk away, perfect for long strolls while watching surfers.||||Don't miss rooftop dining at Monarch behind the hotel, and enjoy morning coffee on the hotel’s rooftop terrace for breathtaking ocean views. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return!
Pros: amazing location and the hotel restaurant was one of my favorite places to eat in San Diego. Cons: very delayed check-in for everyone at the hotel during the weekend I was there - guests couldn't check in until closer to 5-6pm. Staff service was a mixed bag - some of them were amazing and others were not too friendly / accommodating.
My first stay here did not disappoint! Beautiful, intimate hotel, gorgeous location with ocean views, and amazing staff! Kyle, Leo, Marvin, and Jamie exceeded my expectations! The food is exceptional as well. 10 out of 10 is every way! I highly recommend!
L’Auberge never disappoints!! |From the moment you arrive everyone welcomes you and treats you like family! Brandon takes your car keys and makes sure everything goes where it’s supposed to! |The lobby and is really a large living room where amazing food and drinks are served! Leo and Marvin make the best drinks and the wine selection is amazing!|Truly an elegant, but so comfortable and wonderful place to spend my birthday week!
Wow, stayed at this hotel about 8 years ago and it has declined severely. It’s battered and devoid of any coastal charm. The 2021 redo is like a bad and cheap West Elm makeover. The elevator is so battered I’ve seen better freight elevators. The rooms are drab and colorless. For 1200 a night I feel completely taken advantage of. A couple of positives, friendly staff, comfortable beds. That’s it! Stay away!!!
We recently came back to the hotel coffee shop again because of a lovely lady that works there, Abby! She has such a nice smile and always happy. My kids want to go back every weekend to see her. She is such a hard worker and we will come back and stay at the hotel next time :) Shiva and Suhani say hi!! 10 stars for you ❤️
The food was incredible, and the room was exquisite. Alejandro, my food runner from the main restaurant, was by far the most amazing and personable person in the entire facility! He deserves a promotion to server immediately; you’re missing out on a Grade-A people's person! I highly recommend recognizing his exceptional service. 👏🏼
Great location! The area is very walkable and close to a lovely strip of restaurants and shops. Itâs a bit of a walk to get to the beach but if you drive youâd be there in minutes. Free parking, great pool and hot tub, and a cute cafe if you want
Fantastic visit! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Most of the birds are out or you can open their cages, super fun to interact with. Definitely should stop by if youâre in the area
Trail Series, Part 3 The âCoast to Crest Trailâ is located in Del Mar, CA and can be accessed in several places including at San Dieguito Park on San Andres Drive, just South of Via De La Valle. There is ample parking on the street and there is
Beautiful place to visit. Itâs an ocean facing coffee place and has a variety of drinks including their own house made beans and special coffee drinks. I visited the place while visiting Torrey Pines. The place has both indoor and outdoor sitting.
Im grateful for⦠Enjoying good brunch at this top spot with amazing ocean view. Short rib was very good little bit greasy but great portion of meat and crisp baked potatoes. I bet Breeze and Pacifica share the same kitchen. Their rib is so similar.
The San Diego County Fair (turns Del Mar Fairgrounds into an epic Whimsical Wonderland of Fun ) is an annual event that never fails to deliver an unforgettable experience filled with joy, excitement, and wonder. As a part of our trip down to San Di
We loved our stay. The office staff are wonderful and very accommodating. Our room didn't have a microwave so they brought one to our room to use. Everyone was so pleasant. I gave the room 4 stars because even though the bed was comfortable, it was s
