Las Margaritas Cocina & Cantina - Mexican restaurant in Rosamond - 2701 Sierra Hwy, USA

After Don Pancho's appeared to be going out of business I have been on the hunt for a good menudo spot. Understanding that Menudo is a specialty that most folks get right, but Don Pancho's was excellent if not the best in the AV and San Fernando Valley to boot. However, I stumbled upon Las Margaritas and I called, asked the lady if their Menudo was good, and she said yes, I'm gonna have some right now, would u like corn tortillas on your order, they are handmade!?! So I thought wow, this place is legit and their Menudo should at the minimum hit the spot. Unfortunately and disappointedly so they missed to even hit what I could get from a can. The tripe from the Menudo itself was difficult to chew, had no flavor and it had a spiciness that was just hot but no smokiness. My wife and brother were not only dissatisfied but refused to eat their order. I was in the same boat. Please people stick to what you do best and if you are going to venture out make sure you meet the minimum expectations and ensure to do the tradition, of a good home cooked delicacy of Menudo, some justice. Worst $50 bucks I have spent in a long time.

Had dinner here tonight! Great Mexican food. Tasty options small or large options. Karaoke Friday nights. Open until 9pm weekdays Friday Saturday until 10pm. Bar/Restaurant tables served with chips/salsa/beans n cheese. Tasty. I will definitely return. Homemade food. Not a fast food restaurant

On a Sunday, up for some delicious menudo. I recommend it. Very kind people family oriented .

I was told that the mole was amazing. I was so disappointed it tasted like canned enchilada sauce. My wife ordered camarones Al mojo de ajo had to send it back because it was way to salty. I will not be returning or recommending this place do to my experience. If you decide to go hope you’re experience is better.

The staff was nice, inside was clean and friendly. The food was a split decision for my wife and I, but was a little expensive ($16 for a burrito meal). She enjoyed her meal and really liked her Mango Margarita, but my Carne Asada burrito was not good at all (mostly just burnt meat scraps) and my Corona wasn't chilled completely.

What did we get? Plato de Carnitas - Well done, love it crispy! Came out with a good portion, great flavor, and all tortillas are handmade. Churro Dessert - Okay, so this was a on the spur moment, and there isn't a description of this item, but it's a cocktail shrimp glass, filled with icecream, and fresh hot churros that just got made, this was to die for! Service - Our host, was not expecting more customers and asked if we are here for Togo, not a great start, but a woman came around and had the brightest and best attitude, and she was the bright light for this restaurant! This experience will lead to us coming back from Tehachapi.

Great service! Waiter Jackie was very kind. All the waiters were very helpful. The D.J. played good music. Good atmosphere and will be back. I got shrimp over rice, one of the employees' recommendations, and it was amazing!

Went in ahead of our party requesting and giving ample time to secure a large enough setting, went to bar to wait it took about 10 min to even be served at the bar there wasn't anyone tending then about 20 min after we had to ask about our table and they apparently forgotten because they scrambled to figure something out after being seated and we ordered they forgot my daughters order she was brought her food after bringing to the waitress attention that they hadn't served her main course she had been sitting eating her salad patiently my fault for not noticing and bringing it up sooner but she was getting her food about the time everyone was getting close to finishing , I understand there was alot going on alot of people but not that many that they couldn't manage 8 peoples orders at 1 table with one check food was good though but not worth $260.
