Las Brisas Cafe - Cuban restaurant in Union City - 4900 Hudson Ave #1, USA

This place is definitely hidden from the plethora of restaurants on bergenline. It’s basically a cafeteria with a bar, the waitresses are nice to the point - just know what you want. Only reason why the review loses is a star is the “cuban tamale” its not , no meat/pork - it’s basically an elote (corn tamale). It ain’t terrible for an elote but a traditional Mexican restaurant would be the ideal spot for that. The food is actually good , nowadays outside food especially “cuban” food is trash - nothing like abuela / mama / tia. It will hit the spot! The croquetas were soft, they could’ve been fried more to get them crispy. The mondongo was delicious, generous portions of tripe! Would definitely return, recommend (except the tamale)

Amazing food and service! Our waiter both times were very professional and helpful for our selection. The dinner specials were delicious and fairly priced. I would eat here anytime I'm visiting in the area!

Great setting and ambiences. Open late. Great prices. I had the chicken soup it gets a solid 8/10. Taste super home made with so much flavor even tho in the pics it may not look like it. No only am I coming back again but I'm making this place a staple. The staff is super friendly with ultra fast service too

Best place if you are on a budget! Food taste amazing and prices are always good. Service its always on point, Even when they are busy. This is my spot to take my family when we don’t want to cook.
