This place is wonderful. I stayed for 6 months, which is their max stay limit. The RV spots are roomy, and you're not on top of your neighbor. It was also quiet, which with having a daughter with special needs, it was perfect. It was always clean, the public bathrooms were super clean, and the showers were spacious and clean. Bathrooms are handicap accessible. The pool is clean, and they also have a waterslide and beach that are free to use if you are staying there. Laundry rooms are clean. You get 4 washers and 4 dryers per laundry room, and there are 4 on-site. You can either use change or download an app to use them, which is super convenient. The office staff is wonderful and always so gracious and friendly. I would 100% recommend this spot to anyone who asks. My only wish is that they had longer stay availability because we hated to leave. Thank you all for making our stay wonderful. Hope to see you again in February.
We only stayed here for one night. We arrived at 5.30pm. The office was already closed but our name was well signposted behind the window with our site location on it. Site size was good and bathroom was clean and well maintained.
Just one critical remark. We wanted to make use of the pool, but the opening hours were restricted from 11am-5pm. Why not open the pool at the same time that the office opens (9am) or keep it open until later e.g 8pm? With a one night stay it is now only possible to swim from 3pm-5pm, if you are lucky to arrive on time. We were unfortunately also not allowed to make use of the pool after checkout (11am).
Overall this is a great place to stay 1 night or 3 months. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Bath/shower/laundry buildings are well maintained and clean. The RV pads are good sized and there is some room between the sites. Not all pads are perfectly level but are well with reason for setting up. Park with lake and trails is next door/within walking and biking distance and the greater Miami area is a short drive.
The campground itself is amazing. It's HUGE and VERY well kept. The place is very clean and quiet.
There are plenty of friendly security guards watching the grounds 24/7. We definitely appreciated these guys being around to answer questions about the area.
We seen a few iguana, ingrets, blue Jay's, and SO much more wildlife.
The downside of this area is the traffic problem. It's NOT the park's fault. It's the city's fault, for mismanaging their infrastructure and traffic congestion. Traffic within the park barely exists and the roads are very nice. Trying to enter/leave can be a nightmare if you need to get to work or something.
DO BE CAREFUL! We just had an event here yesterday and our wallets were stolen from two different cars. Please dont leave anything of value in the car. Dont think that because there’s people around that nothing will happen, it happened to us.
Great campground and park located in Miami Dade county. The water slide at the park was open for the first time in a long time. The campground was very clean and like a typical Miami Dade county run park. Some employees uphold rules like you ate in school and others are chill. The mowing crew makes no sense. We were outside our camper enjoying it at 650 when they decided they need to mow directly at our site even though there was plenty to be done. Then the next day at 0700 the mower was back at it throwing grass and rocks all over everything.
Park was close to town which was a plus. The pool was not open the entire 4 days we stayed. The park’s beach was not open the entire time. The 2 amenities we came for were not available, but we weren’t offered any discount. The bathrooms were locked at night which was strange. One neighbor told us we weren’t allowed to use the fire ring because we were too close to the zoo. After checking with the main office, we were informed that was not accurate. We were in fact permitted to use the fire ring.
We travel a lot but will not be staying here in the future.
ROACH INFESTED! Found HUNDREDS of roaches under my RV! Brought my 1yr old to play outside and had them crawling everywhere!!! Brought it to the front office attention and they brushed me off! I left a few hours later without any refund or compensation!! ||You’ve been warned! WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED AT.
