Larimer Mansion - Bed & breakfast in Irwin - 50 Maus Dr, USA

The owners of this B&B couldn't have been more accommodating. The house was exquisite. You can tell it is loved as it is so well taken care of. The breakfast was hot, tasty and plentiful. We stayed two nights and there was so much food in the morning neither my husband or I could finish it. Great variety of well cooked food. The rooms were clean with very comfortably beds. Really loved the way the house has been restored to original beauty. The proprietors, Lynn and Larry, were very hospitable and friendly. The rates were very reasonable and we can't wait to stay there again. HIGHLY recommend this destination.

We just spent Halloween night at the B&B and had a wonderful time! Lynn and Larry are so hospitable and kind. The mansion is so warm and inviting. A hidden gem! Would recommend! Lots of history within the mansion, too. Thanks Lynn and Larry for a great stay!! Dinner and breakfast was amazing!!

This place was hands down the best B&B I have ever stayed in. We were able to relax in the evening while enjoying some complimentary coffee, wine, and cookies. It's located just minutes away from local shops and restaurants such as Dave and Busters. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. It was a perfect overnight stay for a couple who needed a small break from the daily grind. Lynn and Larry were amazing and made one of my favorite homemade breakfasts! I'm also a big history buff so it was very interesting to learn about the long history of the house. I can't wait until next time to visit again! Thank you and until next time!

My fiance and I had the pleasure of spending the night at this lovely B&B on March 2nd. As a note, we live about 3 minutes away from this B&B but never realized we were living so close to such a gem. I was highly intrigued by the historical significance of the location, but learned so much more about our town while visiting. The paranormal side was also an intriguing facet (However, we didn't have any run ins!) ||||The owners, Larry and Lynnette, are wonderful people, super friendly and warm. They are excited to share their home with those that come to visit. We loved listening to the stories about the house. ||||We checked in, and then ran out for dinner and shopping. Upon our return there was coffee, cake, and wine awaiting us. We spent the night in the Captain's Quarters, which was made up as a sea theme. The house is impeccable in it's cleanliness. To see the restoration work that Larry has put into it is mind blowing. We woke up to a wonderful breakfast of eggs, french toast, sausage and juice! Truly an outstanding visit.||||If you're in the area for any reason and looking for a place to stay this is truly a unique experience, much cleaner and friendlier than any hotel. And if you live in the area and are just looking for a cool night away, we totally recommend it! We will definitely return at some point!

Most Valentine's Days, we try to stay at B&B, that have a history. In the past we've been to Gettysburg, Lancaster, and Chicago, but the Larimer Mansion is our favorite. Built in 1790, the mansion has not only been beautifully restored, but updated with modern comforts. The real magic and charm comes from Lynette and Larry, who make you feel like a family member, that came over to visit for a few days. The beds were very comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the heart shaped cookies, at night, were a nice touch. This year, we will be back, before Valentine's Day. Thanks for the quiet, romantic weekend.

My boyfriend and I stayed with Lynn & Larry at Larimer Mansion on 8/4/2018, which ended up being the perfect night for us on a haunted places themed road trip we took across Pennsylvania, as they we're having a paranormal investigation that night! Lynn was very welcoming and invited us to join the group as they sought out their paranormal evidence, but we declined, being very tired from our 3rd full day of driving. The mansion is very well loved and taken care of, and I really enjoyed the information they had printed up about the house and the family history of the house. The breakfast was delicious and it was a pleasure to chat with Lynn that following morning. If we are ever in the Pittsburgh area again, we will definitely stay at Larimer Mansion and perhaps this time we will stay up and enjoy the spirits.

We stayed at the 1790 Historical Larimer Mansion on September 1-2 2018. We were in the area for a 50th High School Reunion for me. Lynn and Larry Moisey were delightful to meet and talk with about the history and the hospitality of this charming home that is owned by them. We believe it is the best kept secret in the N. Huntingdon Twp PA area. It was a beautiful find for us. Roy, my husband, and I recommend it to people traveling through the area and even the people who live close by. If you are looking for a get away for a few days or even one, Larimer Mansion is a place to REALLY be. You will not be disappointed by the beautifully decorated rooms, scrumptious snacks and breakfast, and the very friendly hospitality and talent of Lynn and Larry. This is the greatest and most beautiful Bed and Breakfast in the country. The owners are so friendly and provide the most excellent hospitality that I have ever seen. The place is filled with charm and history, and has the perfect mix of antique and modern decor. It is a gorgeous and well-kept facility, and I highly recommend this B&B to anyone!
