Amazing cuts of meat with quality through the roof! Anything but a 5 star review would be a travesty. My family and I go to Lange’s Meat because of the friendly service and spectacular cuts of meat. Karl is usually there when we go and he is over the top friendly and knowledgeable about the different cuts of meat and how we should go about cooking them. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. My family and I would never buy our meat anywhere else.

Look....i don't wanna be mean, but the man who was running the counter today was extremely...weird. It was my 1st time ever coming to this place since i normally goto Valpo Beef Mart and just wanted to try some place closer. Upon entering, the gentleman running the counter was so...forthright about "how much money people were spending on the jerky" or anything involving spending money there which immediately made me uncomfortable. I then asked if theres a menu for prices which he replied "no our prices change everyday" ummm...ok? And then i asked if he had a price on chuck roast "we don't do those" how?! Oh but you'll sell ribeye steaks 26$ lbs?! Yeah no. And then dear lord the jerky....yeah it was...ok but extremely dry. And again he wouldn't stop talking about how the people before me went to the atm and had to buy so much of it... Finally i told him "ya know what lemme go talk to my sister about it" and he looks past the window and says "oh umm..looks like no one's in your car" That. That right there sealed the deal that i will never ever come here again and will resume just going to Valpo because at least i won't feel harassed.

Went in to buy rib-eye steaks. Karl was very helpful in getting us the right thickness of the steak and trimming the excess fat off. In addition he gave us several types of jerky, sausage and other smoked meats. The steaks were wonderful.

Decided to adventure with Jose Mireles Jose Mireles today. We're loving this old school meat market. Fresh cuts, great jerky, great samples and awesome owner. Having an experienced butcher talk to you about cut & quality is so much better than buying at the grocery store!❤🍖🍗🥩❤

Five stars across the board. I’ve been living in Michigan city for a few years now and today was the first time I stopped in to Lange’s. Amazing atmosphere. The gentleman behind the counter was engaged in a lively conversation with the customer in front of me. I was offered a beef stick while I wait and was even brought in to the conversation. Seems like when you’re inside you’re not a customer, you’re a pal. I just stopped in to grab a snack for work and walked away with a bundle for an amazing price! I’d highly recommend anybody stop in. I believe the guy before me drove in all the way from Chicago and I see why.

I’ve known Pete about 25 years always a pleasure to see him, good positive conversations. The meats are very tasty. I travel 150 miles to visit

Health hazard!!! Received moldy jerky and was told to just wash it off when I called to complain. The owner did replace the molded pieces ONLY and stated that he could sell them again. I was completely turned off by this place. So disappointing after hearing the rave reviews from other jerky lovers.
