Lanesborough Country Inn - Motel in Lanesborough - 499 S Main St, USA

We stayed in a two queen bed cabin at the Lanesborough Country Inn. It's a good thing we called to say we would be in late because the clerk said the office would be closed so a key would be put under the rug on the porch. And when we left we just put the key in a box because the office didn't open until 9:30am! I'm glad we didn't need anything during our stay because we never saw a single person. The cabin room was big with very high ceilings. It was 60 degrees in the room when we got there and it took us 15 minutes to figure out how to make the temperature on the heater increase. We were freezing and there was nothing to tell us how to do it. The beds were comfortable and the blanket very warm, soft, and cozy. I didn't have a top sheet on my bed. Watching TV in bed was comfy, but the channels changed very slowly and there was no guide, so it took awhile to find what we wanted. The bathroom was small and the light too dim but had a whirlpool tub. The cabin also had a kitchenette which we didn't use. There was also a couch and big, old dresser. Once the cabin warmed up, we both slept really well! It was very quiet too. I guess we would recommend the cabin only because we slept so well and that was basically all we needed from the room.

We rented a cabin for the weekend and had a great stay. The cabin was cute, clean, and perfect for two people. The bed was comfy, the heat worked great, and we were set far back from the road so it was very quiet. The noisiest part was the three enormous pickup trucks and burly men the morning we left, but otherwise very peaceful.

I was happy to not find bed bugs but to find kind hosts and a clean cabin. It was not a 5 star hotel at all. I found it to be pleasant roomy and a great deal for the price. It was a touch cold I think this property is geared more toward summer visitors. The heat came from the heater by the door. Would have been nice if the TV was a little bigger.

I arrived in the middle of a snowstorm. My dog and I had booked a cabin, and it was just what we expected, only BETTER! I read the reviews to my little traveling companion, and she was insistent that we go ahead and visit the Berkshires in ski weather. We arrived to an already warmed cabin. No smells, clean carpet, and fully functional kitchen--with coffee ready for us to brew! There was not a place for me to dine inside at a table, but we had fun imagining families enjoying the picnic tables in the courtyard during warmer weather. We had a nice little area behind the cabin for my companion's necessities, and she was grateful for the shelter and privacy. No illusions--the cabin is simply and tastefully furnished, and worn about the edges a bit, but totally comforting in an ordinary way. We trekked through the snow, but we look forward to the days we'll be heading for the beach at the lake in the Berkshires from Lanesboro Country Inn.

We have stayed here twice. The adorable cabins are clean and comfortable. It is a quiet place, off of the road, to get a good night sleep. The staff is very polite and helpful. There is a full refrigerator and microwave. The beds are also very comfortable. There are a couple of great restaurants close by. We will return.

We travel with two large dogs (over 50 but under 100 lbs.) making finding accommodations a challenge. We really liked the individual cabin with a kitchenette and a comfortable king size bed. I was skeptical when we pulled in as the street side of the place looked kind of run-down. The cabins are behind the office and drive-up motel rooms and resembled the pictures. There is an additional fee for the dogs so be sure to call and check on that before you book.

It wasn't bad for the pricing. I would have liked it more if; A. Our bathroom door wasn't kicked in. And B. If the crawl space wasn't wide open. Our memorial day weekend was definitely memorial since we got food poisoning from one of the restaurants in Pittsfield.

I love rustic places and travel with my dog, so the cabins seemed like a good fit. I tried to call ahead but no one answered and the voicemail apparently hadn’t been set up. I came anyway, and found no one in the office. A sign said to call this number (same one, same problem), or text another number. I did so...and waited. If a nice person had not come along and offered to go get “the kid who works in there,” I would have given up. The kid was nice but he couldn’t quote an exact price and his printer wasn’t working so no receipt. Someone did text me back about an hour later, with just another number to text for “Joey.” The cabin itself was spacious and some nice touches, but it had ants and NO HEAT. There was a thermostat and a heater but they didn’t work. Someone in another cabin said hers didn’t work “much.” It was 50 degrees inside in the morning! I am sorry to have to give a poor review, but be warned.
