Memorial Day weekend 2024 - We had a great stay and would definitely stay again. Thank you for providing a clean and safe stay for our family. Pros: Tucked away location Great communication Staff was friendly Clear defined expectations Easy access to town Beautiful river float spots River access Electric & water in tent areas CLEAN bathrooms (my OCD was grateful) Tube rental & shuttle (discount for those camping on property) Close to Landa Falls (more rentals available and there was a DJ) Things to consider: Bathroom access from tents requires tackling uphill steps if walking (not bad but something to be mindful of for those in your group) You can hear the train but this did not take away from the joy of our stay

I had a brief encounter and a very negative experience as a visitor to Landa RV Park today as I was visiting a guest who lives there. There was an older man (not a gentleman) on a golf cart who was policing outside of the electric gate at the entrance and I observed him yelling at a resident for breaking some rule of the park. I heard the guest calmy offer a reasonable explanation for the action, and the man got even louder and more aggressive toward the guest. It was so unsettling that I called my friends and said I no longer wanted to come see them in the park. I was both horrified and terrified what could happen to me if I accidentally did something wrong inside, so I decided to cancel my plans and leave. I’m in disbelief that this RV park is still operational and not closed down due to this type of verbal abuse and treatment. I’m only giving two stars because I heard that the river front is beautiful, but I’m never going to see it. It’s just too risky.

We were so excited to stay at Landa after looking at the reviews and information. They do not allow you to book online- you. much contact them. So my husband and I both emailed, called a few times, left voicemails and nothing. They did not return any communication. We were forced to take our business elsewhere. I hope they update the website to allow for online booking if they are not willing or able to staff the location in accordence to their website days/times.

One of the worst campgrounds we have ever stayed at! When we pulled up you could not tell if the place was even open. Cats running all around.... and I like cats! Not very professional. Getting into the campground was interesting to say the least. Pulling a 42 ft 5th wheel, everything was very tight to get around, lighting on the roadway was terrible, saying nothing about the trains every 30 minutes or so. I would stay away from this one at all cost, no matter what!

The campground is clean, and so are the bathrooms. In general, it is a wonderful place to go to when in the summer. Amazing with RVs and tents. The river is such a beautiful place to relax and it is very clean as well, and the waterfall is amazing. You do have to turn off the music a little early, but they let you have it on for a long time. After all, it is a very good place to camp with your family and friends.

Years ago we loved this place! Sadly, I no longer recommend going here because the new park managers are SO mean. They are not a fan of children AT ALL. They would get on to the kids for simply riding their bikes ((they say too fast)) she is 5.. how fast could that possibly be? They are not a fan of animals either. The guy on the golf cart was VERY rude. After a lot of horrible reviews I have read on other sites I am not sure why the owners do not so something about them. if you are the type who likes to sit in your camper the entire time you camp this place may works for you .. but if you like to do anything other than that steer clear of this place!

As a local to the area, we decided to stay here for a few weeks and it was amazing. The permanent residents are kind and conversational and the facilities were clean and convenient. Our cat got out the second day here and EVERYONE was looking for her for almost a week until she thankfully got hungry and made her way back to us. The staff have been very kind and courteous. I am not understanding the poor reviews at all. At all. I presume most of the people tent camping are selfish and spoiled people. You get a beautiful and private part of the Comal river to swim and enjoy and it is peaceful and quiet. So what, trains go by. They do not blow the horns. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in your RV, this is the place!! Donna and Christy are wonderful and kind women and will try to get you what you need. We will definitely returning when we come back to Texas to visit!

We get in to float the Comal river at this location. This is also Landa River Trips. I have been going to this location for the better part of 30 years. It’s not upscale by any means but it is one of the longest floats on the Comal. The staff is friendly and the pick up at the end of the float is smooth.
