Lamies Inn and The Old Salt Restaurant - Hotel in Hampton - 490 Lafayette Rd, USA

This place is adorable! We really loved our stay here. We only stayed one night on our way up to Maine but I really wish we would have been able to spend a little bit more time in the area. All of the staff were very nice and courteous. Lots of history. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a lot of vintage charm. Highly recommend and I hope we can return in the future.

We were recently displaced due to a massive coastal storm and just wanted to say what great neighbors the folks at Lamie's Inn were during the six days we spent there. They went out of their way to accommodate us and our dog. The staff was incredibly nice and held our room as we really weren't sure how long our heat was going to be out. It is an old fashion, family hotel. The beds were comfortable, housekeeping keeps the rooms immaculate and The Old Salt Restaurant is right down the hall. Couldn't ask for more than that! Thanks for being there for us! |Hopefully we won't be evacuating due to a storm again, but if we do we're heading right back to Lamie's Inn.

This is by far the most relaxing ,no pressure,friendly Inn we have ever stayed in!!! The food is great, generous portions,and the price is right. Rooms are clean and are equipped with all that you would need. More importantly the staff is above añd beyond what you could imagine. Friendly!! You would do yourself a favor by staying with the Old Salt!!!!

I stayed here as it was about the halfway point on my trip to Maine. This is a very sweet place, and truly felt like a Olde New England Inn. The room was very nice, the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom could be upgraded, but everything worked just fine. I had dinner at the attached restaurant and it was delicious! The free continental breakfast the next morning was lovely and hit the spot. The staff was really nice. I could see my car from the room, an added bonus. I would stay here again!

How can fried clams and French fries be served cold? How can this be a daycare facility for staff waiting on people? Screaming yelling kids, not their fault at all. How can there be no toilet paper, soap, or hand towels in the bathrooms? I ask you this. Place has gone downhill. Been coming here for 10 years, was always a fun place. Not coming back. Should have gone to Greg’s down the road.

I pre-ordered Thanksgiving 🦃🍽️ dinners and they were ready when I arrived! Friendly service. They were placed in my vehicle and I was able to pay from my window. The meals were the basics but they tasted good! There were leftovers. It was a little disappointing that at the price for the meals there wasn't a choice of desserts. I am now curious to check out the restaurant!

My husband and I just returned from a three night stay here for our honeymoon and I am beyond excited to write this review. We had the most amazing time here. The location was perfect - a short drive to the ocean, in an area close to stores, gas stations, and alternate dining options but out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Hampton. The Inn itself was cozy and quaint with kind staff, little game boards of checkers and chinese checkers in the hallways, and very clean rooms. The Inn kept the old time feel of when it was built while still having all of the modern amenities you might expect. We were surprised to be greeted upon arrival to our room with a box of chocolates and a note congratulating us on our marriage - a tiny touch that was very appreciated. We dined in the Old Salt each night here and I will say, the first night my husband was not pleased with his burger. It was dry and tasteless. But my fish and chips were good so we decided to come back the next night and each meal after were amazing, so I would not take any stars away for this. The service at the restaurant was also great - we made reservations each night ahead of time as they were always super packed! Overall, our experience here was better than we could have expected and we look forward to coming back in the future!

We had a funeral reception here this past week . It was for the funeral of our beloved 99 yr old mimi. They were spectacular with everything. Couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our mimi . We will miss her very much . But this place treated us like family. Thank you to all.
