Lalo's Restaurant - Mexican restaurant in Berwyn - 3011 S Harlem Ave, USA

Went to Lalo's for my cousin's birthday on Saturday. We got there after 8 pm so it wasn't too crowded. As always the food was great. The server was very attentive and friendly. They had alresdy closed the patio so we ate in a side area at a booth. It was a little tight but doable. It took awhile to get the check but that was a minor inconvenience. They are famous for the margaritas. However my favorite was the pina colada. Tell your party to get their own. The big one will last the whole meal. Ask for the pickeled carrots and jalapenos if they don't bring it out. If you like it really got get that chile habanero hot sauce. So good.

Huge restaurant with full bar. Complimentary chicken soup, chip and salsa. Very authentic Mexican food. Cheese stuffed pepper is just right amount of spicy. Mole has very original taste. Serving is very big.

The carrots are amazing, their soup and fried ice cream are my faves. The menu has changed a lot but the burrito hit the spot tonight!

The botana combinada was very filling. The green tamales were a little salty. Our entree was okay. The cantarito was good. The margaritas were disgusting. The cheesecake was very good.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years now, and I've never really had anything bad to say about them. The staff is extremely courteous and kind. The atmosphere is alright. However, over the last couple of years, the dishes have seemed to be lacking, and that's not talking about the cooks' capabilities but more so higher ups. I ordered the shrimp al mojo de ajo. Which is pretty much a garlic and buttery shrimp dish. However, this time, i was served a ton of olives and maybe around 7 shrimp. The shrimp was tender and flavorful. As well as being decent sized. However, this is way too many olives. Especially as this specific dish, the shrimp and garlic should be the stars i feel like they were drowned out by the olives. This is my dish even after eating 5 olives. My rice was garnished with 2 olives, which is overkill. I think the restaurant should allow the cooks' creativity to flourish and not try to skimp out. Im definitely not saying i hated the restaurant, and i will be back for more.

Went there to celebrate my Birthday. We sat outside, it was a beautiful night! Weather was perfect, Atmosphere was wonderful! It was a great night!

It's been awhile since I've been here, food is good, the strawberry daiquiri was very good and our server was very helpful and nice. I had the 3 taco dinner.

Order a tampiqena steak dinner it was good waitress was no where to be found when needed also no hot sauce with food just the one they give with chips if you want a different one for your food it’s a different charge $10 for this hot sauce!! Thought it came with food🤷‍♂️ 9/22/2023 9:11pm noooo go!!
