Lakeview Lodge - Motel in Harrison - 110 N Coeur d\'Alene Ave, USA

The pictures are much better than the rooms. We stayed in Room 15, the blanket and bedspread on the single bed was stained and looked dirty. The outside of the lodge was not kept up at all, the back stair railings were full of spiderwebs. The stairs had many loose boards. The bathtub was stained with something we could not figure out. The furniture on the balcony was filthy, it wasn’t wiped down and wasn’t sittable. The carpet was aged and stained. We paid $350 a night but it was more like a $65 a night room. We also just found out we should have received a 10% discount since my husband is a vet, but was never told about when asking about promotions. The location is beautiful, such a cute little town, it’s a shame this place is so gross.

Our party of three adults, relatively experienced at US and world travel and with mid-level facilities, stayed here in two rooms for two nights. On the intervening day, we rented ebikes from a place a block away and rode about 40 miles out and back to the Coeur d'Alene native Americans monument near Plummer. Our return ride was a mad downhill dash to beat a rain-and-wind-storm right behind us. The rooms were very adequate, with nice personality by comparison to today's uniform chain hotels. We were there in marginal weather, but if the sun had cooperated more, the view of the lake from our little balconies would have been nice. The breakfast with homemade scones was a nice touch. Much better than the uniform breakfasts of the chain hotels. We had a quite nice dinner the second day at a bar/restaurant down at the waterfront, in easy walking distance. The margherita pizza and the salads were good.

We biked from Plummer to Harrison for fun. The Lakeview Lodge exceeded our expectations, with comfy beds and a great view. They let us store our bikes in their shed even after we checked out so we could go to lunch before biking back to Plummer. The scones in the morning were delicious!

What a sweet husband and wife who are new owners to the Lodge! Rooms had beautiful view, very convienent off Trail of Coeur D'Alene if biking through the area. Clean, updated friendly and nice outdoor area for relaxing and storing bikes. Took away 1 star, since they are still updating rooms as owner pointed out, but really comfy beds. The scones for breakfast AMAZING! Do yourself a favor and get one. Wish the owners much success!! Highly recommend in Harrison and would stop again.

After biking from Plummer to Harrison, we were warmly welcomed at cozy Lakeview Lodge. The room had two separate bedrooms and a balcony with a killer view of the lake. The moose and bear decor was adorable, and the scones in the morning were delicious!

Happy to have found this motel. Check-in was pleasant and efficient. Room was quaint, clean and comfortable. Older but well updated and maintained. Super comfortable king size bed with quality bedding. Plenty of hot water and towels. Basic continental breakfast with great coffee and killer homemade scones. Each room has a balcony with a killer view of the lake. Literally steps from the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes a 73 mile, almost flat, exquisitely maintained, walking/bike path through some of the most beautiful country on earth. We hit the jackpot by visiting in March while the town is quiet. Lots of businesses still closed but it is a natural paradise. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.

Kathy was super nice at check-in and even offered to feed us dinner since it was super close to closing time for the only grocery store in town and a bike shop/restaurant (see separate review). She had to deal with a rather unfriendly bicycle rider checking in right when we walked in and totally kept her cool.|We stayed in room # 3; upon walking into the room the smell of an 'air freshener' totally overwhelmed me; we quickly unplugged it and opened the front and back door and let air flow through the room. |The room was very clean, the views over Coeur D'Alene amazing and it was very quiet. It is a much older hotel and could use some updating, but it's the location that sells it. Every room has a balcony overlooking the lake and the walking trail is a couple of minutes away. The bathroom is tiny and outlets are sparse. Coffee and tea are in the room. |The bed was very comfortable and it was really nice to have the balcony door open during the night and not use the A/C.|There is coffee and tea, as well as a couple breakfast cereals in the lobby in the morning and homemade scones, which are amazing (you order the flavor you want at check-in). |There is no ice machine for those of us who enjoy an adult beverage at night after the office closes at 5pm.|I think it is overpriced, but again, the location sells it and other than the terrible smelly thing, we enjoyed it a lot.

Beautiful view at a great price! Friendly staff, clean rooms with all the modern amenities. It was truly a great find. Absolutely coming back.
