Laketree Inn & Suites - Bed & breakfast in Marion - 9600 Lake of Egypt Rd, USA

I decided to stay at this hotel after driving for some time and getting tired. I called ahead of time to ask for directions because it's a little confusing once you get off the highway but I found it after getting the directions with no problem. The man at the desk was super helpful and gave me the room right by the exit so that I could take my dog out. They are dog friendly. The room was clean. It is not a luxury motel but it was comfortable, safe and clean. The shower had a nice water pressure which is always important to me while traveling. The price was reasonable and they offered coffee in the morning. I would stay again.

Nice cozy place to stay, excellent clean rooms and quiet night. At first it looks scary but it's really safe and secure.

Very nice little place. Our room was well kept. No breakfast, no coffeemaker in room, just in lobby. Pretty basic, but a great place to get some good shuteye.

My husband and I needed a late night stay at the last minute. We had a clean bed and a safe night's sleep... the accommodations are extremely dated and need attention. Our bathroom had original, worn carpeted steps leading into the shower/tub. In general the room could have been maintained better as there was dust and small debris in cracks and corners, the ceiling was coming down, and there were dark splatters on the wall. The woman at the front was friendly and the room was reasonable for the area.

$20 per Pet, No breakfast.They have very old stained carpet but It didn't smell like I thought it would. Needs better shower heads. Comfortable beds. Loved the 3pillows. Spacious rooms. Everything worked AC, microwave, TV & mini fridge Close to nice, large fuel stop.

Just needed one night. The car broke down... Place is clean, I'm sure people will find something to complain about. It's not a Hilton. It's fine though. I might actually come back here to go crappie fishing in the nearby lake. The parking lot is big, great for boat trailers. I'm sure the weekly rates are even more affordable. I paid $88 for a night.

After reading reviews, I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the shower is kind of too short, and the pressure isn't that good, but its clean. Very clean. And nicer inside the rooms than you'd expect. We pulled up at almost 2 am, and by the looks of the outside you might think it's a seedy place, but the rooms are nice enough for the price. It's a motel, basically, no real "lobby" with a couch and all that, it's simple, but at least its CLEAN. AND NO BEDBUGS!!! That was the major thing for me. No bedbugs, and its clean. I would definitely stay here again for $75.

I must admit to having trepidations in staying here. Our Plans were fluid and when I called to cancel I found out I had mistakenly booked a non-refundable room via hotel.com. When I spoke with the owner he was very nice and offered a room credit for a future stay, He was so nice in fact that we decided to stay here even though our plans had changed. ||The owner and his wife could not be more anxious to please. We reserved a king room and it was HUGE! Much bigger than we expected. The hotel is pet friendly for a very reasonable 10.00 fee. The bed and bedding were comfortable. The room felt more like one of my first apartments that a corporate hotel room. Complete with a small dinning table, sink, microwave and mini fridge. ||The bathroom was done inexpensively, and the shower nozzle was about 18 inches to low, But the pressure was excellent and all the expected amenities (soap shampoo blow dryer ect) were present. Towels were nice thought not luxurious. If you are looking for Hilton/Hyatt luxury this isn’t your place. But if it’s a choice between a quality inn, Motel 8, or any of the other chains on that level then this place is a fantastic value. ||Internet is good but there is extremely limited dinning options within a 10 min drive. Breakfast is some cereals and muffins. Not much selection. All in all I would say this is a three star place but I am giving it 4 for the owners attitude. I would not hesitate to book this place again should I be in the area. I was very pleasantly surprised. I would urge you to stay here and support local business owners instead of national chains. Live a little!
