I was here at Clemson for 4 days on business. This place was great. I would enjoy staying longer. My room (standard?) had a nice and well equipped kitchen. Place was conveniently located near an Aldi where I could have purchased food to cook instead of eating out. The staff were the best. Genuinely nice and accommodating. They seemed to get to know you quickly and were happy to help. I would definitely stay here again if circumstances allowed.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying here for almost a month. The staff is so friendly and accommodating, even at the restaurant. We felt 10000% safe and want to thank you guys for that! Thank you front desk, cleaning ladies, grounds keepers and everyone for making our stay very welcoming. We would definitely recommend!

I read a review before we stayed there that stated it was a weekend getaway for the locals and it is. Friday when we checked in we were treated like gold. We had 2 rooms. 2 dogs. I was told that you could only smoke in your car and nowhere on the property even though the workers smoke right by the trash bin 200 ft from the door. The pool is only open from dusk until dawn even though it was 110⁰. Saturday, pool is open bar is open, towels available. Come Monday, it's dead can't find anyone, have to ask for towels to be opened by the pool area. It also requests that you shower before hand, but there are no showers in the pool area. There is no laundry facility on site. The food is delicious, but ridiculously expensive. There is no breakfast during the week only brunch on the weekends. You can only get fresh room towels if the person delivering towels is on the grounds. There were still coffee grounds in my coffee maker that takes packets. I would have rather stayed at the Best Western Plus up the street. Yes the resort looks out over the lake, but it is next to an outlet shopping area. We will not stay there again.

This was one of the nicest hotels i have ever stayed at. It was incredibly clean, beautifully decorated. Even though in a college town extremely quiet. Our balcony had a view of the river. I would highly recommend staying.

We paid almost $600 a night with fees(football weekend), for the least valuable room on the property. The manager never called me back after a number of requests for a return call, until 1 week later. We also had an issue with the TV which was never addressed. The last issue was a centipede in the shower.|Although the grounds are nice, I would never stay there again.

Stayed here 3 nights during Clemson move in week. We booked a one bedroom that came with a full kitchen and separate living area. For some reason I thought the couch in the living room was a sleeper sofa but it is not. Was t terrible as my son only had sleep on it one night. The rooms are fairly well appointed and have a nice patio to sit and relax on. The Lodge has a nice resort style pool and numerous places to just sit and relax on their patio. It’s super close to campus so would be a good spot to stay when visiting Clemson. They have full restaurant and bar for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. I did appreciate the complimentary coffee in the lobby during the morning hours.||Just note maid service was basically taking out our trash and leaving clean towels for us. It was odd as they would leave the trash can empty with no bag sitting in the middle of the kitchen. ||One other thing to note is both my wife and I called before booking and were quoted different rates for the same time period. These rates were even different from what was on their web page.

The security guard was very rude to my sister and tried to talk to her in a way as if he were trying to intimidate her. The rest of the staff was nice. The situation is being handled, so I will visit this establishment again.The room I had was very relaxing, and I had an amazing view.

We stayed at Lakeside Lodge two years ago and it was great. This time it was not. We rented a 3 BR suite and had problems with the AC the entire time. The floor was dirty, the shower had mold, there were cobwebs on the lamp, there were no towel bars in the bathroom. I am not sure if there is new management or what, but the place was unacceptable. They need to stop and do a deep cleaning. I cannot recommend this place. Find somewhere else.
