Lakeside Campground - Campground in Ripley - 10768 W Lake Rd, USA

The campground is very lovely, quiet, and set right on the lake. We also had electricity at our campsite for just an extra $5!! There are showers and bathrooms as well. Being able to wake up and walk just a short distance from the site to the lake was great!!!

Bicycle friendly RV park. There is a nice lawn area for tents. Beautiful beach access on the lake.

Beautiful location. Sunset is perfect. The breeze off the lake makes this a cool nights sleep. The village of tiny houses are a treat. We camped in a tent. There was not a lot of shade but a great manicured lawn to set up around the fire ring. The site had a picnic table. There is access to Lake Erie. The only mark is the bathrooms need some attention.

My parents were permanent campers of that campground for close to 10 years. All of the seasonal campers are very nice. The only complaint is that the owner of the campground should be a politician. Rides around waving to the campers and shaking hands like his your friend and then raises the rent. Bathrooms are dated, there is not much to do at the playground for kids. Finally the state came through and put city water and sewage in. That’s about the only thing that the campground has going for it other than the seasonal campers. Most of the campers that are there all are unhappy but the view of the lake is worth it for some.

Beautiful view of Lake Erie. No swimming. Mostly seasonals - the transient Sites were spacious and mostly sunny. We were there during the week and it was quiet.  The owner was very helpful in getting us settled, gave us a winery trail brochure and got some of the rust off our tow bar. There are restaurants nearby for takeout. The cell service was good enough to work from home. Will definitely be back.

We were on our way up to Erie for some wine tasting and decided to stay a couple of nights. We randomly chose lakeside, and boy! Are we glad we did! This place was PERFECT for what we needed. Bathrooms were right next to us (super clean). Full hook-ups. Fire ring. And it was the perfect location for access to the best wineries! Johns hospitality was great! He got us right in and helped us get acclimated to the area. Gave us a wine map, and some recommendations for the surrounding wineries. Just a short walk and your RIGHT on lake Erie watching the sunset. Nice little beach to walk on in the morning, too. SO pleased :o) if you're in the area, stop on by! You'll be happy you did!

This is primarily a seasonal resident campground. Limited spots for transient travelers. Owners are great friendly people!! Located right on the lake minutes from a lot of wineries! Presque Isle Park is about 1/2 hour away. Will definitely stay here again.

Chose this site for an impulse camping trip and really enjoyed it. My tent site was spacious, flat, and had electric. The ground is perfect for staking your tent (not too hard and not too soft), and is not rocky. There is a fire pit and a table. I was able to park right next to my tent. There is a bathroom with hot shower and sink. It wasn't very clean, but for a campsite it met my expectations. Hot shower is always a plus when camping. There's a ramp on the property that leads down to a little landing where you can launch boats into the lake. It's also got a small rocky area off the ramp that's perfect for sitting and enjoying the beautiful view of the lake. See my photos for a picture of the lake from the area, as well as the campsite. All of the staff and seasonal campers were very friendly and helpful!
