We have been staying here for years when we come to the UP for fishing, hunting and visiting friends. It's not a fancy chain motel. But if you're looking for a nice, clean, quiet place to stay on a beautiful little northern lake in the center of UP recreational activities, this place is ideal. It also helps that the place is owned by the nicest people you will ever meet!
I really liked the stay here. The owner is a good person. I called him to say that I'll be reaching late at night. He made sure that my room was ready and warm. The room was clean. The location was convenient. It is on the lake so you get a beautiful view of the sunrise. I would definitely go here next fall season.
Rooms little small, but the price is great. Nice motel. Friendly people. Fun place to be. Room overlooks the lake. They have a kayak and a peddle boat I think. Haven't gone down to look at them. The guy In charge tonight was getting ready to start a fire at the fire pit, where everyone can sit and get to know each other. Nice little outside patio to lounge at. I can't think of a better place to stay at. Very homey, comfortable, and convenient. I Will Come Back. Very Serene and peaceful Glad I found this place.
Room was clean and the hosts were amazing. A little on the smaller side but exactly what you would expect from a home town motel. We left too early for the continental breakfast. We would definitely stay there again!
Nice hotel, super awesome staff. Depending on your room, the views are amazing. Mike and Bonnie are great, made us feel very welcomed. Hope to be able to stay here again, again.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, the location is beautiful and the breakfast included is a kind touch. The coffee is yummy! We talked with the owners, who are both super friendly. We also met miss Cleo the cat, she’s so sweet! One of our new favorite places to stay and we will be back!

Amazing menus! Great selection of subs. The "1 was delicious. The #44 had the best flavor I've had in a long time! The Cuban was a homerun of flavors. Soft delicious breads! Next time, we will try Scott's pizzas because the frozen ones looked good!
