Amazing place to go with the family! Really enjoyed it. You can bring your food and cook it on the grills they have available in each picnic table and you can also enjoy a nice walk through nature. 🥰💕
We really like it here . It was very crowded. There are plenty of areas to grill/bbq if you want to. Parking is $10 for the day. Washrooms was too dirty
Love to go there , it’s clean, has bathrooms, lockers and showers, snacks bar , security, been visiting since 2000. Very good for family to visit. 10 per cars to enter.
It’s clean and well maintained with a good parking space but you have to pay $10 per car entrance fees. The sands are white and water is clean. It gets really crowded on a hot sunny day and gets loud too with many playing music. The beach also has picnic table and spot for bbq. The best part is that the beach is near to New York City and many can just run to escape a hot summer day. Kids will definitely love it.
Clean water, well-maintained, spacious parking lot👍 There is an entrance fee of $10 per car.
Reading other reviews, it really depends on when you go. I went at a great time and therefore had a great time. Firstly the parking was free, I'm guessing this is because of 'off-season'. Secondly the park wasn't quite crowded while not empty either. The left us to enjoy the expansive beach and sand to play with, and gorgeous views of the stunning lake. After wearing ourselves out in the sun, we settled at a picnic table and enjoyed a picnic lunch. All in all, I would recommend this place but be cautious as it can get overcrowded as per other reviews.
It is not great but it's ok. We went a Sunday afternoon, water was frozen and it was crowded, which I hated. It was extremely trashy, which is really sad. I hate people throwing trash everywhere, even if they see the trash containers beside them. Be very careful if you go with your kids. I found a piece of glass when my girls were playing with the sand. Food is good. We had a wrap, fries and mozzarella sticks.
Lake Welch, Lake Welch. Very nice family friendly beach, which, despite my first impression was not as crowded as it looked. What I mean by that is that is that I felt like I was driving into a double sized Walmart parking lot. The lawns were packed to the gills with grills! This thing is huge and full! Costs $10/vehicle to drive in, they sell food and snacks if you want. But! If you buy, you better throw your trash in the conveniently placed trash cans. Please DO NOT throw your trash in the lake. The lake is beautiful, but only as beautiful as its most careless caretaker. Be careful driving in the summer of 2020 because Lake Welch Drive is closed! So we had to drive an extra few miles through the park to end around to the lake entrance. Enjoy!

We love this spot for our lattes and hot chocolate. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Sundays, our favorite barista Maddie is there to craft our drinks and is full of suggestions if we are wanting to try something ne
It's a wide lake and you can go with your family and you can camp around and have a picnic ð§º. for off-season days it's packed and everyone listens to music too much so you have no idea what's playing. However, they are drained or fed by other bodi
When we first arrived it was a Irish pub in a strip mall, but don't let that stop you!! The food was the absolute best I have tried at a bar. It was fine dining quality at a pub price. I will say that the place was a little confusing as it claims it
We finally got to come here after some bad weather during our visit to Bear Mountain. We got the crab cakes appetizer, crab stuffed sea scallops, sweet potato fries, and the fireside veal with the twice baked potato. Everything was great, but genuine
