Nice experience in august if 2023. It was normally hot & humid, I am from Montana so it’s a big change. Tent camped for two nights. Great & friendly staff & residents. Most residents are permanent or at least seasonal. They do have a few rental rv spots & a few tent spots. The pool was amazing. It’s heated but was a cooling relief for us in any case compared to outside. They have a lot of nice activity rooms, library, laundry etc that were also nicely air conditioned. I was able to freeze some water bottles in one of their rooms freezers that helped while we slept at night. There is also electric at the tent site so we had a fan running which also helped. No complaints & thankful for the tips from staff about the other hospitality rooms.
I love going there to hang out and take a shower meet some friends and camp out get but by mosquitoes lol
Was working in Lake Wales for 6 months and this is the first one that our crew stayed at. Around 6 RVs total. Many retired folks with flags being displayed. Wifi is pathetic however; working 6 days a week my TMobile worked excellent. Amazon even dropped off stuff at the office and wad delivered to your RV. After 10 days my friend with a toy trailer was told that it couldn't be there because it didn't have a hookup installed. After investigating I overheard some white board members make racial comments so our whole crew packed up and left down the road.
Our first visit to this campground was Jan & Feb of 2022. We pulled our camper from PA. It's south of Orlando in orange country,
It's a small campground with some permanent residents, snowbirds and short term campers.
It's nothing fancy, but there are some trees. The bathrooms are fantastically clean and the people friendly. There is much activity in the clubhouse with music jamming, cards, dominoes, movie night, bingo, church service, special dinners and shows.
We loved it so much we bought a park model that became available for sale.
Stayed at this park during hurricane. They let us stay in library overnight. The employee are very friendly and accommodating. A few old trailers that really should go, one with broken window. We would definitely stay here again. Indoor swimming pool, library, game room and beautiful rec hall.
Nice campground and friendly people. We were at campsite 61 and voltage dropped low enough in afternoon to turn off surge protector. Switched water heater to gas and AC ran ok. Very nice area too. Grandma's restaurant was nice to eat at.
Late afternoon we pulled off the road into this campground resort. Super friendly British host who, although the campground was full, offered us a tent spot in a large grassy area - it had water and electricity which was fine for our Class B rig. After we had hooked up and got settled, I wanted to do some laundry but realized I had forgotten to bring detergent. No problem, friendly host would not hear of us unhooking and driving off to the nearest store, he offered me a box from his wife's housekeeping supplies - at no charge either. Clean bathhouse with lots of room in the shower stalls - plenty of hooks and a large shelf in each.
We were staying at another RV park but changed to this campground for the last week. We were waiting on our house to be ready. ||Helen and Nick were great hosts, laid back and very helpful. The full timers in the campground were very nice, better than the RV park we moved from.||Lovely "catch and release" pond that has had gators previously. Indoor pool and shuffleboard, clean amenities and laundry. Disappointed I had to leave. They also have friendly resident ducks.||Would definitely stay here again.|
Hidden gem alert!! We stopped in for smoothies but ended up getting wraps as well. I ordered the veggie wrap and hubby got one with blackened shrimp. They were packed full of goodness. Very flavorful and messy (sign of a good wrap!). We both ordered
Typical Seth Raynor golf course which was very fun to play; never disappointed on a Raynor layout. Greens were in great shape & rolled perfectly; good speed. The course conditions were probably a 7 out of 10; tee boxes were beat up but were being r
This place has amazing service and fantastic food that is reasonably priced. They give great portion sizes and you get a complimentary bowl of soup during lunch hours!
My partner and I went here once or twice a month for a while starting some time i
I would qualify this is the best hometown restaurant Lake Wells has to offer. With Lake Wells being in a small town you have a lot of corporate stuff that tries to move in but if you want true Hometown cooking and Hometown food, this is where you wan
