My boyfriend and I were looking a for weekend getaway for one night and we found the place! Decent size room for two people, absolutely gorgeous views all around, and the location is great! The room was kept clean if we needed anything the staff was helpful. A great place to relax, go swimming and hang out at the lake. Definitely will be coming back. Thank you!
I have stayed at this Hotel three times over the last few yrs and I’m not sure why. The rooms are way overpriced for what you get or should I say what you don’t get. Nearly $500 for a two day stay in a small room without the basic amenities that most Hotels with larger rooms and much lower prices provide, Shower products, Tissues, Breakfast. I do like how they hang their sheets outside after they wash them making both the rooms and beds smell so fresh and clean. The property and rooms are well maintained. You are required to check in at the window outside next to the office which appears to be a unfriendly way to greet guests. I went in the office by mistake and I’m sure the lady at the desk who wasn’t really to friendly didn’t approve. Not so much as a smile that most Hotels will greet guests with. I did chat with a staff member one day while he was cleaning outside and he was quite friendly. Decent Hotel though but way to costly for what little you get, A smile from the check in desk would go a long way.
My husband and I stayed there this past weekend for a quick weekend away. Very cute place. We stayed in the motel part and the room was very nice and had everything we needed. Great view of the lake and pool was nice with plenty of seating available. Easy walk to town. Would stay there again.
Stayed in a deluxe suite with a balcony facing the lake. It was spacious, bright & clean with plenty of storage for clothing. The owner & staff were eager to please. A small but nice little beach area but no chairs. Walking distance to town. Ice and firewood available for purchase on site. Will probably go back.
We usually stay next door at the beachcomber but due to a credit card mix-up we were forced to stay here. I won't be back. I'd rather sleep in the parking lot next door. This place is overpriced 530 dollars for a tiny room for 2 nights. Sporadic hot water for showers. A complete bad vibe to the whole place even the way the room was set up the only sink was in the living room . The bed was small hard and lumpy. They turned the upstairs porch lights on full blast at night making it hard to sleep. The pool is near the water but surrounded by a concrete wall making it impossible to even see out. 1 star would not recommend. And ps when the owner came to verify no hot water she said it was because too many ppl took showers that day
We got the last room, the price seemed overcharged, it seems like they need to finish upgrading this room. Since all The other rooms were booked, we may have been given this one as The "last room in The inn" which they may have been hoping to avoid booking until they finished some upgrades. The doors had major gaps at the bottom ,perhaps linked to the new tilework on the floor, and one stuck at the top so was unable to close. That was in the bedroom, not a outside door. They provide dishes, only one labeled microwave safe. Some of the cups were not properly cleaned but blame that on a former guest as you are responsible for your own dishes. ❤The location was wonderfully convenient right in town! It was quaint! The outdoor amenities were great if we had felt safe leaving things in our room to enjoy them. The locks on our doors were sketchy and the gaps under the doors made my daughter not want to leave our things in the room unsupervised. (I was called and told that the locks were fixed and they are on a list for a contractor for som e other upgrades. If you've had to find a contractor these days, you understand the wait.) Being the only room not facing the water, I would have expected this room to be upgraded to make up for the lack of ambience that the rest of the rooms have overlooking the lake. The one electrical outlet in the bedroom was nowhere near where the clock radio was located and the walls had been touch up like they had been preparing to repaint, I hope soon. Since it faced the street, with a nice enclosed front porch area, it was quieter, I noticed away from the rest of the units. It seemed like there was some kind of reunion that weekend filling some of the rooms. I will try them again hoping for a better experience. This trip was disappointing. The pictures of the other rooms look decent.
Clean rooms and property. One cup coffee maker, daily housekeeper, gas or charcoal grill, fire ring, clean pool (that’s great for jumping in to) beautiful sunsets, beach (that has lots of chairs you could drag down). Charming small town. I would go back.
Make sure if you leave a review, wait until you leave because the owner will confront you about it, argue with you and give you dirty looks til you leave. Room was clean, beds are so horribly uncomfortable, pool surrounded by a big brick wall that kinda isolates you

This local ice cream shop served delicious ice cream! I got the strawberry cheesecake and it was the perfect ratio. Their scoops are pretty big so 1 scoop should be enough for the regular person, but if youâre in for a challenge then by all means g
What an amazing place! Beautiful on the inside and outside! The owners are extremely nice and know a great deal of the history of the home. It was very nice going down to the dining room for breakfast, which was very well cooked and arranged very

Really good food here. Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday after visiting the farmers market across the street. Maurice salad was delicious and portions were huge. Great service and prime location in downtown Port Austin.
