Such a beautiful place. The lake was so blue and clear. It was a crisp, cool day but perfect for walking and exploring. I enjoyed my visit and will be back.

What a pretty place . I saw some wild burros. You can camp here if you make a reservation. $15.00 for a primitive site $22.00 for semi developed and $32.00 for a fully developed site per night. The Discovery Center is an interesting place to visit on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, and the view of the lake from here is awesome. Stop by the Scorpion 🦂 Bay restaurant for a bite to eat and make sure you get the onion 🌰 rings.

Great State Park with lots to do or just do nothing and watch the wild burros. We stayed in a lakeside campsite with water and electric with a shaded picnic table. There was a marina in the park with a restaurant and boats to rent. The place was clean and quiet and the birds and burros were abundant.

Favorite place so far to go boating near us. We have yet to explore more lakes in AZ but we still find areas here we haven't explored so it makes for great boating! We've seen cows and donkey and even two bald eagles while on the water.

My family loves the beautiful lake, we visit multiple times a week. The pass they offer for around $80 or so is well worth it if you’re looking for a clean place to cool off often! We love the donkeys, and appreciate them from afar. They are docile and beautiful animals. The rangers are always kind, and helpful. There is always a place to park and enjoy the water. Each road leads you to a different type of water environment which is also wonderful! You are able to boat, kayak, paddle board, swim, and jet ski! The sunsets are wonderful, and they are currently open until 9:00PM!

I had an awesome time at Lake Pleasant Regional Park! It's a big, beautiful lake with lots to do. I went fishing with my family, and we caught some fish. There's also a cool marina with boats. You can go swimming, jet skiing, or just relax. We had a picnic by the water, and it was so peaceful. The desert scenery all around is amazing too. There are hiking trails if you like that stuff. I saw some cute birds and even a big cactus! It's a perfect spot to have fun in the outdoors with friends and family.

We went to the Westside one day, east side the next. End of December the lake is very low, no flowing rivers. Had to pay 7 to park on the west side, but it was worth it, beautiful hike. We did the pipeline trail. This is a moderate trail , bumpy rocky most of the way. We also hiked up yavapai point. Very high look out. Nice weather, bunch of other hikes but not crowded. Next day we went to the east entrance over north of Anthem. Wow, I guess there ar e two designated shooting sites, but we counted 15 spots along the road in. So much garbage. Never seen so much!! Disgusting! Anyways, parking lot was at the very end of dusty but smooth dirt road. We hiked the wash trail for an hour, then turned back. Pretty and peaceful down there, you could barely hear the shooting! Next time we will hike all the way to the knoll/overlook. Guy we passed on the trail said it is worth it. Just the 3 hikers we passed on this trail.

Great area to hike! We hiked through a dried up river bed near the park entrance. Lots of different rock formations and natural beauty to see.
